How do you enjoy endgame?

I’m fairly new and still have a few zones left until I’m done all main and side quests.

I don’t know if I’ll get into PVP as I haven’t yet.

So I’m curious what you do or how you keep the game fun after you’ve completed everything?

PvP is fun in doses, I like to save that for a Saturday or Sunday for a few hours and leave it at that. I like to break things up with different "themes" per day. One day I just want to quest, quest, quest. Another day, just do dungeon runs. Another day, work on my writs/farm for materials to craft (Alchemy, Blacksmithing, etc.). I'm not in a guild yet as I just got back into ESO after a year break but when I do, I would also have a "guildie" day and just focus on helping my fellow guildies with whatever they need help with.

I hope this helps and GLHF!

Veteran DLC group dungeons, achievements, housing and outfits. Playing the economy side of the game (as in trading), using emotes and mementos in cities - goofing around. If nothing else inspire me, I might pop my head into PVP. These sustain my interest in ESO from DLC to DLC.

PvE - Vet Pledges, Vet Arenas, Vet Trials (Progressive)
    PvP - BG's, Non-CP Cyro (Ravenwatch)

This takes up about 70% of my time. The rest is housing, parsing (DPS Testing), crafting, etc.

Farming gear and mats also take up a percentage of that. No way around it with the in game economy where it's at currently. If I had to recommend my favorite it would be Vet Trials, followed by Cyro Ravenwatch (on a balance population night).

Not being silly, but after playing ESO solo/cooperatively and non-competitively without breaks since it launched in 2014 I enjoy endgame by taking my time, playing for the journey rather than the destination, and thereby never reaching endgame. I play multiple characters, of course, across two accounts on two servers, but it's the only way I know of keeping a game fresh and not burning out or getting frustrated/bored at the pace of new content releases. There are still several base game zones and DLCs/Chapters I haven't completed.

I have a few things I do to make it fun:

    - First, I write fanfiction, so after going through everything with my main (my only completionist character, and is unrelated to my writing), I've been going through on my main character for my story, really taking my time and listening to dialogue and paying attention to the storylines to inspire my writing.

    - Because I write, I have a bunch of alts that are also part of my story, so I "play their stories" - complete whatever content is relevant to their story arc and their lives, while also decorating their homes and trying to make them come alive. What's good with this is that depending on what I feel like doing on a given day, I have some content to play. Feel like thieving and murdering? Pull out my Eye of the Queen. Want to go blast some dolmens? Load up my huntress and go take down some cultists. Want to go shopping for some blueprints and praxes? Get my crafter. By having different toons with different stories, I can always find something I feel like doing.

    - I also like to try and complete achievements on my main, whether it's Master Angler or grinding a little for different pieces needed to make collectibles.

    - In order to have the gold I need to support my housing addiction appreciation, I also go out and do my surveys and treasure maps, especially when I want a more chill vibe. This also provides opportunities for getting some great screenies and just enjoying the beautiful art!

I don't play any group content anymore, but I find that it is easy to find stuff to do on any given day. And because I have set myself up to be able to do many different things, I rarely get burned out. And when I do, I take some time off and come back to the game later.

Motif and style page collecting is my favorite end game thing to do. I love collecting all the motifs and styles so I can individualize the appearances of all my characters.

I love doing vet DLC dungeons and vet trials to collect the motif pages, and to a lesser extent, enjoy some of the skins that come with them as well.

I spend most of my time doing trials or vet dungeons, some PVP but not a lot, and more recently, getting into world boss and world event dailies (dragons, harrowstorms)

I am on my way to reach 3600 CP, it will take a while, mostly doing daily random veteran dungeon.
I am researching traits for craft, so i can craft and transmute equipment.
I got companions not long ago, doing dailies to unlock their skills. Hopefully there will be more companions in the future.
There are lots of equipment sets, i am slowly collecting them. Once learned, they can be reconstructed.
Even without motifs and achievements there are plenty of things to do.

This game is pretty good in that department as you're picking your endgame basically. For me it was different phases, some days it was pvp, sometimes it was trials tri-in-one achievements or just closing some dlc achievements full or help others with them, other days it was fishing the hell out of water nodes or building a custom tower in my home etc., Even after you get no achievements left just pick a new character or something non related as an activity. Anyway there's a big chance you'll have enough achievements to go through for years and years to come.

I'm currently redesigning my vamp NB healer to a dps and working my way through vet endgame content. I'm not a big pvp player, but once I've completed all the endgame arenas and trials on vet, I may try getting more active in Cyrodiil and IC. I also still need the fishing achievements, and housing, and a lot of the little achievements that require grinding (looking at you Jee-Lar).
Blessed are those who explore the unbeaten path...

Vet Dungeons, Trials, and Arenas, and of course PVP (when its working).

If you don't like any of those, end game frankly may not hold your attention unless you really like housing and RP.

Depends on what you mean by "done everything." For me, it's finished all the story quests. That still leaves a lot to do. Skyshards, lorebooks, dungeons, fishing, housing, dailies, crafting, endeavors, hunting for other PvE achievements. Also alts.

Well.... my endgame is leveling alts through content/zones according to each one's "preferences" (in my head-canon and backstories). And housing. And some "dress up" stuff.

just play other games, there's millions out there.

that being said, everyone has their endgame for X game, mine is just to look cool and complete all the quests.
and maybe try all dungeons and trials at least once , maybe vet dungeons, not sure about vet trials.

    Alts.

Make them, level them, explore the world anew through the eyes of a different class/race/playstyle. When I run out of alt slots I'll just delete one and go again. I honestly don't see that happening anytime soon as the world is HUGE.

Same here: I've played for just over 4 months, and have (mostly) completed Western Skyrim (my starting zone back then), Auridon, and Wrothgar, and I'm in no hurry to complete the rest. I'm pretty certain that by the time I complete all the current zones, several more will have been added. I love it, it's an endless playground of fun! :)

I really enjoy pvp most of the time. Taking a break atm because I hate the current burst meta.... actually hate is to strong a word. It just doesn't suit my play style I guess.

Never got into end game dungeons or trials.

    Enjoy trading and housing.

    **raises hand** Me too!!

Oh that! I've been playing since a month or so after PC release, main account (ESO+ pretty constantly), second account (ESO+ when I'm in the mood, so about 1/3 of the time overall) and third account "meant-to-be-a-gift-but-the-person-never-played" and at least one each on PC EU.

I've finished the AD on a few characters. I think I finished Daggerfall on one...maybe? Haven't ever actually finished Pact yet.

Working on Master Angler...still got at least or 6 zones left on my main fishing character.

Really enjoy housing, but don't own that many and struggle with most of them, just can't seem to get the hang of it, but it's fun. I have a "designated house" for 4-5 of my characters, but they are all pretty much "in process". The Psijic Villa has been renamed "Storage Villa"

Finished the mage line quest on ... one? FG...don't think so. Psijic...don't think so.

Finished the IC quest on 3 folks (I do like that one), Thieves guide on one (working a second one through but what a Pain for a non-NB). Never did the Dark Brotherhood.

My personal goals for my personal end-game:
Get full sets of the gear I like using all the "named pieces" in that set (which requires lots of transmutes, more since I changed my mind about what traits I like). For example the "Spiderprod" healing staff from the Winter's Respite set.

    For all my characters:
-Have (at least) one house/dwelling that fits them
-Have at least one "outfit" combo that I like for each character
-Have at least one "gear setup", and if the main one is a DPS then a secondary one of either Tank or Healer [cause I hate waiting in line for Undaunted]; and have them dyed to look nice - or at least only minimally horrible.
-Have at least one "clothing" setup per character (partly 'cause I like options, and partly to use for the equivalent of 'naked adventuring') per character

I like trading...I like helping out in guild...I like exploring the world...I like randomly mailing things to lowbies on the guild roster lists.

Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I'm level 50 with CPs somewhere above 500, but I don't touch end game content. I just wander in explorable, harvesting resources and farming chests/portals. I do trading, scrying and stealing too. Once in a while, if it's on my way and I'm in the mood, I do a quest or a delve, even a dolmen or a boss if really motivated. I like housing, but once home is full, it's over, so it's a time limited activity only. That's it.
I don't touch dungeons, PvP, Trials and co.

Generally, in this game, too many "peanuts" bother me while playing. Many are QoL issues, a few are conceptual. I have understanding why it's like that and don't complain, but fact is that it spoils my motivation. So, I enjoy ESO as a side game, giving me a place to chill and relax in beautiful landscapes, and that's very much OK this way. o:)
I'm out of my mind, feel free to leave a message... PC/NA

So I’m curious what you do or how you keep the game fun after you’ve completed everything?

After too many nerfs to CP power, and overall bad decisions from developers, I am not interested in trials/dungeons/arenas/PvP. You as new player won't know about all that happened in the past and what was lost... Thus you will have different perspective - everything will be interesing after you complete quests and start doing some group content.

My endgame is... flying on my Griffons in GW2 :D

    VrrrGAY.jpg

But in ESO my end game is all about cosmetics, and funny interactions :)

    Will somebody activate the teleport?

Can I successfully run over the obstacles?

Can I herd all those bears so they don't block the banker NPC?

You need to have a system. Like, one chest for heavy armor, one chest for medium, one chest for light. One alt for surveys, one alt for transmutes, one alt for collectibles etc And inventory management add on's really help. Because as true end game players know, the end game is inventory management. Lots and lots and lots of inventory management....

The simple answer is to do what you enjoy doing, and give everything at least one try.

I know of many people who have never touched PvP, Dungeons and Trials who still log in daily and have plenty to keep them occupied because that 's what they like.

I also know of others who log in to do pledges on Vet dungeons, or simply run the same dungeons over and over trying to complete gear sets.

'Endgame' is whatever you decide it is.
