My wife want to leave me in ESO, so help a man out.
This game is amazing...most of the time. But when it's not, it's bad. And we all know it. I so want to play this game, and keep playing it, but there are a few things, that really bothers me, and is making my wife not want to play at all.
It's easy to say what is wrong, but better to come up with suggestions.
I can only imagine the frustration around the developer table, as I know you all are aware of the problem, and the potential lost in customers, so in no way, am I saying, that you are not doing anything about it. But here is some issues, that I really believe need to be handle soon, before people leave for the next shiny thing;
1) Botting. It is really annoying, not being able to complete a quest or find the boss, because of bots. We talk about banning etc. of those players, but it takes a lot of resources. Why not, just make it not worth it for gold spammers?
Suggestion: When you have accomplished a Dungeon, it no longer give rewards to that player. Not a programmer, but couldn't it be done with a simple: "If Completed than no reward" command.
Of course we should still be able to fight the boss multiple times, to help out our friends.
Of course they will than move on to nodes. Probably be more complicated to program, but every time we are harvesting a node, add a location tracker. Than when we harvesting again, check location. If distance is not xxx amount away, than no reward.
2) Phasing. Let the team leader decide what phasing the whole group are in. The leaders phasing step, is where we play. If a player in the group is yet not able to get there, give them a warning text, saying "Not able to complete quest, as requirements are not reached" or something like that. Give the leader a warning too, saying, not all players able to complete.
Than the group can decide whatever to continue or change story leader of group.
I also believe there should be no Solo content in the game
(Edit note: I meant and mean no forced solo content. I neither want to have forced grouping. It should be a choice. It is the instances you can not enter as a team, that is really bother us). I would have no problem helping out a team member (my wife

), with her Fighter Guild quests, even if I don't get a reward.
Minor issue:
3) Multi servers. I believe you are trying to put a player on the same server as their guild and friends, but it does not work all the time. Please when in team, let all players except for leaders, get moved to the leader's server. Not to the nearest way shrine, but to the location they "teleported" from.
4) Auction house. When I first heard about guild auction houses, I thought it was a great idea. In practice it is not. A shared auction house would be nice. If it is to force guild to establish, than do as following; No "tax" penalty, when a player from one guild buy something from another guild member through the auction house, for any of them. Put the name of guild in item list, so players, if they wish can search through their own house.
If players buy from a different guild, implement tax penalty. Than it still become important to trade within a guild, but not the only option.
I really hope the above get fixed soon. Don't have to be the suggestions (which probably have been mentioned elsewhere too). It would stop the discussion with my better half, whatever or not to give this game further chances. Help a man out, I say
