ThePedge✭✭✭✭✭There's a lot of salty console players in the thread complaining about addons when they know FULL WELL, that if they could get those addons for their respective console, they'd be fully loaded in a heartbeat.
you are assuming that it is just console players who are anti-addons because they cant have them, but that is wrong, as there is also some PC players too of that opinion, who believe in a level playing field for all in some game modes, and the ONLY way to achieve that is to prevent the use of mods.
Veteran stuff should be played in as pure a form as posable as intended with everyone having the same advantage and disadvantage and there being NO hand-holding in the form of mods.
That is true across Console and PC though.
For example the end-game discord TRE had a list of all records, a seperate list for Console to PC, because it's obvious that the playing fields were not even.
That discord is dead and ESO-U has kind of taken over, the first Console Planesbreaker will be posted as such. The first of it's kind.
That doesn't mean this isn't an achievement as every group on PC has the same opportunity for add-on's at Calamity do. People even make private ones for their own groups.
If console got it first, that would be "World First".
A console group hold the Word Record for vBRP. WORLD RECORD. Not console record.
But no one here complaining about PC knows that because they don't actually care or pay attention, they just want to complain.4 -

I just looked up videos and clears. Of the evidence posted there is a Trifecta Clear of vBRP on PC months before console. Also the videos clearly show console sans add-ons and PC with. You may be conflating “first” with the 110k score. Scores really should be taken with a serious grain of salt as every patch basically fundamentally changes sets and stats to where scores from one to the other are meaningless.
If you’re a PC User and like add-ons you should do well to congratulates Calamity.
If you’re on PC and despise what add-ons are doing to the game you can feel either way.
And if you’re on Console all this really means is nothing to us because the differences in play are so drastic that it’s ridiculous.
We as a gaming community celebrate things like ***’s ridiculous SF3 combo win not only because it’s an impressive technical feat but also we know that the competition was fair and everyone was standardized. By saying “World’s First” there is instantly the attachment of competition to the title and as such console players have every right to say “well play pure without the add-ons” and we can properly commend that. But with experiences so drastically different and a UI augmented for PC decidedly in their competitive favor console shouldn’t care.
PS - Someone in this forum post posited that Veteran content should have Add-ons disabled on live. That’s an EXCELLENT idea. If you want to test out numbers that’s pretty much what PTS is for and players can go nuts there. But live server play should be uniform across the board just for a better developmental experience.1 -

Don't place yourself as having beat some competitor if you're not on the same playing field. I also don't like when people brag about killing PvE players in mym or people who brag about farming level 1 characters in games with forced PVP.
I, just as someone who actually love to watch competition, simply don't care when you beat someone in an fight skewed towards your favor.

Idk, unless that other clear from 6/25 was on console using a mouse & keyboard UI, it's faked. There's no scores even close to Calamity on PC leaderboards.2 -

A simple edit of the achievement link allows people to fake any achievement. But your attempted forgery fails two checks...- The title is grayed out.

Eevee_42✭✭✭✭Congrats! I’m really excited about the higher difficulty in this trial compared to how they’ve been the past few years, I’m sure it was a ton of hard work and dedication to pull this off.
The amount of salt on this post is unreal. Add ons are moreso convenient for tracking buffs, warhorns, and changing the UI rather than a crutch. People are delusional if they think that some add ons could put them on this level. The players who got this achievement have probably ran the trial so many times that they know the mechanics like the back of their hand and add ons like raid notifier are just convenient to have. Maybe if you all stop spending time putting people down who obviously put in an insane amount of effort for an achievement, you could be closer to having it too.3 -

That isn’t evidence. It’s clear there are players within this game who focus on many things. Passively playing for stories, collecting motifs, a housing simulator.
But what there is clear evidence of, and has been for years, of many many groups of players on PC getting difficult achievements well ahead of their console counterparts.
On both PC and Console there are many dedicated endgame trial communities pushing for trifectas and have the skill. That said it statistically can’t possibly be that “the best” are all on PC and console players are just terrible. The same groups attack the same content within 2 weeks spans of each other. Why then is it that PC can get clears months or years ahead of console? That console players who switch to PC often report a night and day difference and that things are much easier after slugging it through on a PS5/XBX?
If things were really equal you would routinely see a console clear of an achievement a week or two after PC to account for the release delay, not months or years every single time.1 -
