Can something be done about people parking their feral guardians on quest NPC's?

People refuse to move or are afk, and you often can't find an angle that lets you interact with the NPC.

Well.... yeah.... it's a problem. I run wardens and sorcs and I never have pets out in town, but others are.... oblivious. Try first person? Sometimes that works.

Should have the option to hide all pets except yours and the ones that have aggroed you. I don't mind looking at most peoples non combat pets but the ones that fly and all of the combat pets are an annoyance in town. I refuse to use a twilight because they are that annoying.

Kill wall or bounty. There is zero non-RP reason to have a familiar out in town.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

Really really wish the Bear and Winged Twilight where like Necro's pets and expire in 8 -16 seconds. One can only dream.

Stay safe and enjoy the journey 😊

PS. ZOS stop the micromanagement of the green tree 🥺

All you have to do is be close enough to get the option to pop up and people are worse for standing on Npc. I never have a problem with npc, but doors are a different matter. 😱

People sometimes drop storm atros on top of the daily writ boxes, just to prank others by slowing them a bit.

Idk if I find it annoying or funny.

best part of it is when someone sending toxic messages to you about damn bear ... even if you are definitely not a warden

All pets and mounts should be unsummoned automaticly by the game when the player gets near a crafting station, merchant, banker or any other interactable. 10 meter would be a good radius for that. Riding in towns would still be possible.

Mounts can be called and sent away with one key. There is no single key to send away the fighting pets.

Assigning one key to summon/send off the fighting pets will probably solve a great part of the problem.

And a bounty in city areas, like for necromancers and vampires.

I sometimes have hopes to be able draw weapon and slay pets blocking npc. Unfortunetly there are many people who do this just from malice or meanness, but it happens in any multiplayer game.

Few times i write tickets to ZOS, for make bears more like sorcerer pets which ability to block npc is less annoying than bears.

I find it at least as annoying when players are not able to step aside a bit after delivering the crafting writs and start rummaging through their inventory right in front of the boxes.

Justice NPCs need to administer tickets and fine people who leave their pets out near crafting areas or Wayshrines. "Sorry sir, you can't leave your pet unattended in a communal area without a leash."

The simplest solution is for Zos to give all quest giving/receiving green NPCs a larger collision blocker around them, preventing both players and pets from being able to stand inside their hitbox.

I'm responsible pet owner. When I played as pet sorc, the first thing I did upon arriving in any town is desummon my pets - just to make sure they won't be problem for anyone :)
I was doing same when I played with Bear pet as warden, but this bear overall is extremely annoying... His hit box is too large, preventing me even from looting nodes or chests in the wild sometimes - and nobody has time to dance with pet until he moves away from the node/chest, cause those things need to be looted fast :| I stopped using Bear at all long time ago.

It's in PvE, of course. In PvP areas such as Cyrodiil or IC, I was often annoyed by my own pets :/

    I support this!

Players and mounts don't block you from interacting with anything, so it's purely cosmetic if you see other player standing near writ box etc.
Combat pets are not cosmetic - they can literally block you from interactions with an object they stand near/on. Can't compare that at all.

The start of the event, and somebody's bear was blocking almost all space. My cursor is far away from Bear, but his hit box is huge. Players had to move and search for spots for interacting with NPC from uncomfortable angles:

Zero reason to have combat pet there, so it's an example of irresponsible pet owner - combined with bad gameplay design of combat pets overall.

That's right. But it kills the immersion when I literally have to go through the other characters.

I don't run the bear on my MagDen healer, but my Sorc tank does run her Clanfear. However, I always dismiss it in town. For those wondering how to even do this, go to "Character", and under "Active Effects", you'll see your pet. Click/hit the icon, and it will unsummon. You can also do this with food and drink buffs, and I believe XP buffs.

Unfortunately you are never told how to do this in-game, except for maybe a random loading screen, and that's a big maybe, my memory is terrible.

So please, fellow pet users, be kind and dismiss them pets in town.

Unfortunately there isn't a trivial way to dismiss the bear.

The sad thing is this is a bug - it's always been a bug. They shouldn't be blocking interactions. All the moaning should be directed at Zenimax for not fixing it in years, not at people playing wardens.

I do that by accident every now and then :# And other ultimates that does not require an enemy. Like turning into a goliath on my necro.... Not a good thing to do in the middle of Vivec City.

As for the topic: They should either remove the collision on the pets, or have desummon areas around crafting stations etc. We have areas that desummons mounts so why not pet ones too.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

Really the bear shouldn't be blocking intereactions, when I play on my warden it annoys me just as much when my own bear does it, but if I dismiss, well it costs ultimate to resummon doesn't it?

I dismiss mine in town so as not to annoy anyone. Regenerating ultimate is not problem but I have never had a problem summoning again after being in town. My own bear can annoy me too sometimes. I would prefer a cute little white rabbit that morphs into a terrible monster when angered with big teeth. Let me grab my stick horse flee runaway!

This. Though I'd prefer large cats, or even a wolf. Bears aren't really my thing....

I honestly can't imagine even a fantasy world where having bears, daedra, huge spiders, imps, etc... wandering all over town would even in the remotest of places be cool with that towns residents. The guy with the shovel and stinky wheelbarrow must be the highest paid guy in town to have to deal with all that! Yet here we have women walking around in ball gowns in all that muck... ewww.

I think a vast majority of the time, people just aren't aware they're blocking something. Sure, there's instances of people doing it to be obtrusive, but I don't think that's the majority of people. Also, just because we see it often doesn't mean it's the same person doing it on every server in the game - so try not to nasty whisper them. You wouldn't enjoy someone getting tilted and throwing shade at you if you're literally making an honest mistake. If you whisper them nicely and they don't respond - oh well. Go on with life, because you'll probably never see that person again anyways.

And that is the reason why I do not have the bear ultimate on my Warden. I had quite enough of the bear when she was low leveled to last me years to come. It would get in my way just as much as it got in another's way. So bear went bye bye for all time. Still gotta deal with other people's pets though.
