    The players shouldn’t suffer because of some greedy corporate strategy to boost Xbox sales. This game came out a long time before this MS deal was even initiated and therefore all platforms that the game released on should get equal treatment.

    Seriously concerning though that this is happening everytime we undergo maintenance. Hope they fix and solve this soon but I’m already expecting this to occur again next week.

    Because there hasn't been any major updates to the psn in the last couple of weeks. But this is the 2nd week in a row there has been an issue. And they just coincidently got bought by Sony's competitor.

    Makes me feel like maybe MS wanted ZOS to update our servers after they finished MS and PC. So maybe they can't even start on ours until they finish with Microsoft products. But they all gotta come down at the same time for whatever reason. Just my personal theory. I wouldn't be trying to guess if they just told us why we keep having issues.

    In fact I just watched a bit about how Sony's little system requiring your console to constantly sync to their servers could potentially brick your unit and even leave you unable to play any of your titles on PS4 once they drop the servers supporting it because of PS5.

    So yeah, maybe you SHOULD blame Sony.

    Every single other game works perfectly on Playstation. Other mmos, too. So no, this is not about Sony but ZOS.

    You do realize that if this were ever the case Sony could sue the living daylights out of Microsoft and win?

    Also no company would intentionally do this because it’s not just a bad look short term but an extremely bad look long term. Bad in that it would stop other companies from engaging in contracts with them.

    Something is going on, likely with a backend update to the PSN, that is causing a conflict with the game. Totally feasible and doesn’t require an update on the player side as their interaction with the PSN hasn’t changed.

    Yeah, that's just blatant flaming right there... coming to fan some heat and flex a bit on us that are suffering... If that doesn't get edited I'll eat my hat... that I'll get free from ZoS for the downtime :)

    To be honest, we have to accept that something has gone seriously wrong. Whether this is an issue related to ZOS or something unrelated to them we don't know. They wouldn't take the server down for so long just to mess about PlayStation users - they have alot of customers on PS and make alot of money from it.

    At the very least though, we should get some form of compensation. Losing over 24hrs worth of game time in less than 7 days is not acceptable. I honestly think people would be less fired up if it wasn't a bank holiday here in Europe (or at least where I am in the UK). The decision to do the maintenance today was really bad timing.

    It's been a long time since I have server downtime like this, and in many ways I am grateful it is happening now before the next generation upgrade / chapter release, as that would be devastating.
