Companion customization has been confirmed for what they wear. How will you dress them up? Skimpy I assume will be among the most popular. Do not underestimate how steamy people can get, just look at twitter comments thirsting over NPCs.

    I'll be doing my best to make them an outfit that befits their personality and any headcanon I come up with for them.

    I'm not heavy into RP or anything, but if they're gonna be trotting all around Tamriel with me I'm bound to get an idea or two about who I think they are and how they fit into my clique.

    Furthermore, I'm gonna attempt to make them look unique as I can while also making them fit in with "who they are" or whatever, just to avoid the "omgwtfwhyaretherecloneseverywhere" syndrome that I fear is coming when we all get our Companions. If I just have Bastion run around in a frilly pink dress dashing set of armor like everyone else, that'll be something of a turn off for me for lack of a better way to put it.

    Somewhere between show off and other. I don’t have any emperor costume, as I find Cyrodil only fun in small doses.

    But I am going to have my companion matching my outfit, which I admittedly change quite often, and likely wearing some of my most prestigious dyes.

    If personalities and disguises/mementos are allowed, I'm going to make a Necro and parade around an army of spooky scary skeletons strutting around with Jester personality. And by army, I mean like two of us, because Necros don't have permanent pets and it doesn't sound like we'll be allowed to have multiple Companions at once. Maybe there's a skelly pet?

    I will do it the same way as with my chars, the outfit will be adapted to the respective circumstances and the environment (no thin tunic or half naked in ice and snow, for example ...).

    They will look like they are ready to go in for a fight - in other words, no skimpy outfits.

    Also, this one is a bit lean on the gold, so very unlikely to be constantly outfitting the companions.

    Since everyone will do skimpy females (a fundamental truth learned after 30 years of mmorpgs) I will do something else. Skimpy Males. Best would be an Argonian male with crotchless pants and a metal Bikini.

    I wonder if we can use polymorphs on them... If yes, i will have Xivkyn following me :) Maybe we will both be Xivkyn :o I could really use third companion as well, it all would look awesome on my screenshots :D Can companions have non-combat pets as well?.. :D

    In Oblivion, I had 5 or 6 Skinned Hounds always following me - it looked absolutely hilarious and amazing.

    As for costumes/outfits, I have my favourite options for my characters, and my companions will most likely use same costumes/outfits.

    Honestly, I can't wait for PTS to test different options - but I hope that we will be able to instantly unlock companions for testing there, because I never do quests on PTS to not spoil it for my adventures on live.

    If the companion is attractive you better believe they’ll be wearing something Skimpy but if they’re ugly I’ll just make some cool outfit for them and cover their face 😆

    Appropriately, there is no other choice as far as I'm concerned. As i will likely be playing alongside the Lady Dark Elf more, Naryu's Assassin Armour (the one she wears in Vvardenfell) will be perfect.

    I'm not expecting to use them much at all, I'm not a big fan of NPCs trailing after me in games, getting stuck in doorways and alerting every enemy in sight when I'm trying to sneak. I'll probably do the quests and then forget about them, so I might just leave them with whatever they're wearing by default.

    Also most of the costumes I buy are ones which look like normal clothing rather than armour - I use my armour for combat situations and costumes for times when armour would look out of place, so if I'm restricted to putting them in costumes I've got unlocked there's not many useful options. But if I do use one it will be because I think it suits the character and/or situation better than what they've already got.

    My character is dressed according to the zone I currently explore. So will be dressed companions. But I'll think on some personal touch - to match their story. Weapons are highly important: for example, an ancient sword, family heirloom for the Imperial.
