Dealing with bots really isn't that hard. Just use any ability that moves the boss such as DK pull chain or destruction staff "punt" the bots don't move and you can kill it and get your loot, then laugh at the bots repeat or move on...0 -

Quite honestly, all the facts about bugs, botters and spams, were as clearly posted on here, as best as they ever could be, a good few days ago.
When posting this, you knew 100% is was adding nothing. It wasn't constructive critisim, It wasn't anything new what so ever..

Because they aren't high enough in level yet. Every day I am seeing the infiltrate higher lvl content. I saw tons of them in a lvl 40 dungeon today. Within a week, veteran content will be infested. Then all of you people that think we are over reacting can eat some crow. One week, tops.Not a single bot in veteran content, not one.

If they cant beat them (no game can) they can at least keep them in the lowbie areas, the lesser evil.

I get it. If they could flag them, they could as well ban them.
Killing them would be fun, ill give you that, but its not a tool to win the war against them.
Educate players to not BUY, by monitoring gold income and banning hard is.
They will never do it because half of the kids whining about gold sellers would be banned for gold buying.
Ive seen it happening on FFXI.
First they convince themselves everyone else is buying gold, and they cant keep up if they dont (this might as well be true in some cases/games), then they go on the forum whining about gold sellers, and the next step is buying gold.

Been saying this since day 1 but everyone forms these rage threads. Btw the bots and spammers stop at about lv.35. Over in VR land there's nobody farming bosses.

Not everything in life is a conspiracy. I can confirm the ingame GMs. Me and some other guy reported a couple of bots and within 5 minutes we had gm come in and kill all the bots.

LOL, I leave the post for a day, and it's blown up to an 8 page (mostly) polite discussion. About 80% agree, 10% Disagree, and 5% are mindless morons. (With a 5% margin of error.)
As for the really really BAD attempts at flaming. Seriously.. this is 2014, most of us have been on the internet since the 90's.. you gotta up your game. Go big or go home. C'mon now.
I got lucky today, only ran into about 40 bots or so across the various dungeons. Of course, my wife and I have pretty much decided we arent doing any of them unless a quest forces us into one.. but hey, now we only have to deal with the teleporting bots popping around every zone.
You can compare this to other games all you want.. but ive been playing MMO's since Ultima Online, and I have NEVER seen a bot rampage on this scale or scope. Ever. Yeah, that's just my personal experience or whatever.. but apparently, unless you are blind AND stupid.. Im not the only one who notices this.
Either way.. Im already cancelled. I'll check back in 6 months or so, see if they've done anything about it. Or when this goes F2P. Either way.1 -

Nonsense. You think we are idiots or you some genius? Most of the time the boss spawns dead there is so many damn Templars stacked. Second they move like lightning so they move with the boss as you chain. Third it just counts as a hit, you still won't get loot. None of the tricks, from spamming AOE or shield charge works beyond a handful of bots. They are not there in handfuls any more, they are there in stacks that makes it lucky if you can get a hit let alone loot.
Fourth. We want to play the game as intended not just count ourselves lucky if the horde of human and bottled campers let us get a hit to close the dungeon quest.
Some I have noticed have some sort of hack that means they surround the spawn and no one can hit it.
The dev of this game in the developer section says these bots are a problem that drives him crazy in the game when he plays.
So the lot of you, who for reasons I would no doubt find reprehensible if they were known, need to just stop trying to minimise or dismiss the issue.
Bots do not infest every game and I don't care what happened in gam x, y or z. I have played mmo's, most notably lotro, where botting is a non issue because the designers anticipated the problem so their game wasn't an open incitement to bot from the start and/or had systems and measures in place to deal with them.
In beta when I saw the 'come all Ye blotters' game design I assumed they had some cunning plans to prevent what was obviously going to happen with infinitely respawning lootable public bosses.
I am a big fan of this game but my experiences in dungeons is draining my enthusiasm and therefore my willingness to pay to play this game.
Botting is destroying the chances of it succeeding as a premium game. They need to take effective action. So far they have not. Instead they put in a timer that at very best just penalised players and encouraged more botting.
How the hell does a timer inconvenience a bot? They still get loot for doing nothing and they still sit there Insta killing everything anyway. That does nothing to help us paying customers. Our experience remains that of no loot, struggling to get a hit and no chance at all to actually play the encounter.
Public dungeons should be instanced and put on a timer.

I haven't quit TESO... the gear decay thing makes it hard for me to justify logging in, and i just fired up FTL for the first time in months, but I'm not trolling. I wasn't trolling over at TSW... at least, not that I recall. I haven't really trolled anyone since my Escapist days.1 -
