You are wearing plate armor. Size of the shield does not matter anymore.

✭Yeah most shields look like they were designed for a min height Bosmer. Shield of Senchal shield is a pretty big shield if you haven't checked it out.1 -

and so then what about pleyers who play with helmets or bald characters so they wont have that problem anyway? if they even care for this at all if all of them were playing with shields on both bars which is currently rare0 -

✭✭✭✭✭For the types of battles typically found in game the smaller shields make more sense if size actually mattered. A smaller shield provided mobility while still protecting the head and part of the upper body. With additional armor the small shield makes even more sense.
As size matters not at all in game for performance in battle aesthetics is basically the only consideration we need make. I like having several types to choose from.
Of course it doesn't apply in game but larger shields were meant more for protection from archers, pikemen on horses and that type of attack.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."2 -
SshadowSscale✭✭✭✭✭I agree.... one of the main reasons I never use sword and shield for pvp is just the size of the shields being way too small.... minus like 4 of them with a decent size.... granted same thing happens with bows.... a lot of short bows with like 4 or 5 decent long bows.......1

it's not the size of the shield on the tank but the size of the tank in the shield that matters4 -

and how much efficient it is for longer? same efficient as blocking in dark souls by weapons or with shields with no 100% physical daamge reduction - not usable on further meta against harder enemies
yes you can block literally everything but you wont alive everything anyway
I can block with 2 crossed daggers attacks of minibosses without enrage on vAS+2 but I wont be able to block and stay alive from aoto attack of main boss and even if I was a tank I would need to have a tank weapon - shield or ice staff to have sense of blocking him0 -

✭✭More variety is better, but I prefer smaller shields vs. Large ones. All my tanks are females so they look better then the overly large one on them.

✭✭While on the shield topic...something that bothers me to this day is the dumb shield icon they added while blocking. All you newer players might not know but you used to block with your shield/weapon, not that magic shield that appears while holding block....they added that because pvp whiners couldn't see a raised shield/weapon
