when the CP2.0 was introduced, the player lists were all somehow reset, and all last locations/logins were reset in some form to null until people log back in... something people that no longer play, or are deceased, will obviously no longer do. which means those will no forever be stuck in a null state.
Something it would have been nice to know would happen ahead of time, I think the original poster means, simply because we could have screenshotted our friends list for these old friends we had who we miss. I can sympathize. I had someone who passed away directly after logging out of a trial. I sometimes would just go back and look at the last log in date and location in the same way someone would go and visit a place of memory. Its sad that, that is gone.
Wait, what happened?

I wish I knew that the details regarding my friendlist, and the specific details of each player being wiped clear would have been mentioned. It might not seem like a big deal, but having a Last Login Date and Location of each friend was important to me. I know several people have deceased friends/family that used to play ESO and kept their accounts 'friended'. I understand this is a digital playground but you guys just bulldozed some electronic tombstones.
