What is something in ESO you don't quite get?

Leg flaps and the lack of short pants. I have sexy legs, I want to show them off! Gives me something to look at while I'm out farming the open world.

Crit. Specifically, how the percentages are calculated. I do not understand how a number expressed in the thousands gets converted to a %.
Why can't we summon banker/merchant in Cyrodiil. Like, we can summon Tythis in LITERAL HELL but not Bruma? OH OK, MAKES TOTAL SENSE.
Why doesn't Lyris know who I am?! We saved the WORLD together and now suddenly she is surprised I can talk diplomatically to the Queen? And punch some vampires in the face? YOU SAW ME GO HAND TO HAND WITHBIG BALS HIMSELF, LYRIS, WHY ARE YOU SO SURPRISED BY ALL THIS

Implementing PVE-Story within PVP heated Imperial City zone was and will remain the worse mistake ever that must not be repeated. It caused an influx of upset and frustration I never quite get why did they went that way. It never ends well when you have PVE-PVP Clash together. It has to be a separate zone and Cyrodil in entirety must be overhauled.

Now it can be safely ignored. If Wrothgar had come first, and IC was second, so PvE players had new content to chew on, and IC wasn't the gatekeeper for the new max level gear, no one would have cared.

It was chasing the V16 gear, that "forced," PvE players into the IC, not the story content. And the Story Content is pretty negligible. I mean, we can pretty safely ignore the IC's PvE today. It doesn't matter.

Now, (unless my memory is failing me), what was absolutely incomprehensible was that players were originally still PvP eligible while talking to quest NPCs in the city. So, you could be ganked while talking to The Drake of Blades, for example.

Why some players feel the need to blare music in zones like they're an ESO DJ...please please be more considerate to everyone. 9 times out of 10 this is always in Craglorn.

How do you know if someone else is blaring music? Are you talking about hearing them in discord?

They have music playing with their mic unmuted in populated zones. The only time I use discord vc is when I'm running trials with friends...

I'm confused. How are you hearing them unless you are in discord or some other voice chat program with them? Players can't just turn their mic on and broadcast to the zone. I can't even imagine what a nightmare it would be if they could.

They can on console. Mostly it's fine but sometimes it's gets pretty obnoxious. Worst offenders are the static-y djs trying to blast their music at people doing crafting writs.

The most baffling for me is why time achievements are continuously set based on what pc players can do with addons. It's blatantly unfair to console

    Deep thoughts in eso.

Are mythic items really mythic when everyone has them?

Wouldn't it be more useful to have seige saps than relying on battering rams?

Do lesser deadra really not notice that their masters seem to shrug their shoulders at the slaughter of their brethren?

Where do the crossbows go when your not using the skill?

Why does a full meal only feed you for half an hour max but a sugary snack satisfies you for two?

Has any cult ever produced positive results in any of their cultists lives?

If skyshards fell from the sky, how did they get into dungeons and caves?

Do they call trials that name because it's a challenge to find enough people?

Has no deadric prince every doubted their plan or brainstorm with their greater deadra about how mortals might interfere or divines might intervene?

Who keeps leaving locked chest everywhere? And why?

Would anyone believe a "Maiq the truth teller"?

I keep wondering about Voljars Meadery in Eastmarch. Why it is positioned exactly there - we have eternal winter here, the beehives are standing around in the snow. How do the bees do their job without flowers?

Possibly, it was a joke based on Meewulm's dialogue from Murkmire in Bright-Throat village. He confused beer for bee-ears and couldn't figure out how they made it XD

Random ninja-guild-invites. I never understood the reason why people would invite other people out of the blue. Even if the target accidentally accepts the invite, what do they expect to happen next?
"Hi, ..well... seems like I'm the new guy. Thanks for the invite I guess. Since I'm here, I think I'll just stay."

    Dummy [snip] scores
(Yes I know it’s good for rotations blah blah but seen too many with high dummy dps that repeatedly die in vet dungeons/trials as have no sustain or knowledge of mechs)

The Green Pact. And Wood Elves in general.

Why we can meet Daedra but not Aedra.

    Battlegrounds.

People who slavishly follow the ‘meta’ or whatever the flavour of the month influencer (? Of whatever they’re called) tells them to do.

People who rush through the game, get to vet trials & then do 6 or more a week to get them all done, then complain they have nothing to do.

Not being able to get banker or sales assistant out in Cyrodiil.

    That’s all. For now 😉

I don't understand why there have to be a million different cooking recipes, all of which produce more or less the same results. Is there anyone who finds it fun and meaningful to cook all of these things?

I believe some of this pre-dates One Tamriel where each faction has to have "their" version of the recipe because it was hard to trade and obtain cross- faction items. Later, it became more lore and nostalgia to keep all three versions because how could you pick between them? :)

Today, in events, when we get new recipes there is only one version of them.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

Interesting info, that was at a time when I was still playing Skyrim and Oblivion for the thousandth time. But they are nonetheless ... many.

Not quite, later they kept all three versions because otherwise you'd be removing recipes from characters in order to condense it down. Characters could learn the recipes from all three alliances, they just couldn't get all three recipes to drop for themselves.

Also, this change is even further back than One Tamriel. I forget exactly when this change was made, but it predates the craft bag. Originally there were a lot of food crafting materials. Like, a ridiculous number of them. Each recipe level (like, level 10, or level 15) had their own unique material for each alliance. I could be remembering this wrong, but there were close to 150 different provisioning ingredients. Again, this was before the craft bag, or doubled bank space from ESO+. (Probably before ESO+, back when we actually needed to subscribe to play.)

PVE. I tolerate it as it's required for certain gear, but I only see it as a gateway to more PVP.

Ok, now the picture is clear. And I can sleep peacefully and no longer have to wonder about the odd amount of recipes. Thanks. :)

The outfit station and dye system. I don't have a problem with it, to each their own, but it seems to have a wide appeal that I just don't get. I like costumes, polymorphs and skins a lot.

There are stupid costumes everywhere, and I do mean stupid. I like to make my characters stand out by doing something different, so as my complete set of maxxed crafters can make actual armour of many different types and styles, I do that. My Vampire Witch in Lamea White Soulshriven is kinda scary. My Dunmer Gloria The Red in her Dark Elf Medium set, dyed tastefully to set off her Red Hair is obviously ready to kill stuff. Her Tavern dress does get worn for events and the like, but any one working in that silly new dress, may get mudballed. ;)

I have costumes, mounts and pets that are very rare, but I only use that stuff when its appropriate. my Wood Elf Enchanter/Alchemist, who has been around since the beta, and has reached level 22 by sheer inertia, he crafts and never quests, has the Monkey beta award as his pet, and Cadwell's Hat to keep the rain off. He rides the Senche Tiger reward for subbing in 2014 and 2015, as do several others.

I don't get racial passives, ESO has in game examples of every race outside what is considered normal. For example, powerful redguard mages, Argonian warriors, high elf knights and Wood elf mages (the spinners). Yet they try to force each race down a lane which makes no sense, Race in eso is an aesthetic choice, don't force me to play a specific way because i want to be a man lizard.
