You going to do something about all the Bots?

Just remember; there are ACTUAL people (like myself) who will sit and farm the dungeon bosses, even if we do not reply to /chat (I'm usually in /guild chat tabs) but obviously I at least, move around, jump, etc etc (which bots do not do).

So don't just /report everyone you see farming a boss just because they do not respond to your chat.
The bots can, and some do - jump, move around, even talk.

As to reporting someone who Isn't botting - it doesn't matter. The only thing it does is bog the report system down by 1 extra ticket - because they aren't banning Actual Bots, so you're probably safe even if you Are doing so.

    Well, this is something. :)

A GM sends a message when you enter a dungeon and then pops in when you find any bots farming final boss. He/she asks human players to move aside and then kills/wipes all bots.

the node teleporting/hacking is getting ridiculous...I see several bots competing with each other, teleporting from node to node one after another and then poofing away.

How the hell does the ESO code even allow this? Find out how it's done and then stop it.

How? Simple... For some reason, Zenimax failed to apply the lessons learned by all the MMOs before them when creating ESO :(

The First MMO ever, the Realm was the first to discover that you can't allow the Game Client to have precedence when assigning character position/location - but ESO does.
    - Making the ability to Warp/Teleport about as difficult as editing the Gold on your character on a single player game from the 90s. And with a dedicated (but still simple) program.. adjust movement speed anywhere from stationary to instant point-point transport.

The First 3D MMOs that had any popularity - realized quickly that you can't allow the Game Client to control object collision - but ESO does.
    - Meaning a simple shift can allow a character to walk on the map as if it were 6' Lower, so they can harvest, do chests, etc.. without being attacked, seen, or Reported.
    - Also allows more creative efforts to introduce Placable Stairs to access locations they shouldn't be able to - or portable holes.. allowing them to "fall" under the map and lose aggro or avoid detection.

Bots -- the whole premise here really. GMs in games of the past Drastically reduced the Bot activity in a short time.. and when/where they stopped, the Bots returned.
ESO - has none. (unless they added them last night, and the post above showing one at work is real.. but it looks extremely fake to me)

please simplify the inGame reporting function for BOTs. yersterday i saw 4, running in a group OUTSIDE dungeons and killing Dreughts. I spy them more than 5 minutes and I could not report them because wasn't able to click them. The Chars dont stoped moving around and they use allways the same routes. So the Bots are not only active in dungeons to kill the bosses!!! PLS simplify the report function for the Bots. I dont have the time and i dont want to waste my time to report 5-6-7 and more Bots!! i dont report the bots because it is to long process!!

    YES!!!!

    Great News!
They are mythical creatures, much like unicorns, but they are there. Always watching, waiting for the chance to pounce on the soulless, mindless ones.

(Yes, they're real, and yes we do have GMs doing rounds to ban botters.)

I didn't believe the original claims of this. And have never been so glad I was WRONG!
(well, not in a Game anyway)

It's real, Mod has confirmed it on another thread.
GM's are going into dungeons, sending a brief warning, and killing everyone inside, presumably so that real players inside complain, while botters don't.

Yes, that other thread is mine, and the post immediately before yours is Me mentioning it. ;)

I'm Thrilled, and GLAD I was wrong.

So... I guess the only thing left for me to do with This thread is post the requested clip on killing bots with NPC mages...
Then sit back and watch the bots slowly disappear.
