I think if people realised that it’s better to master a single or a couple of characters instead of mindlessly creating loads of characters they would enjoy the game more.

"Better" is relative to what you want to achieve. I think in an MMO it's important to enable as many people as possible to enjoy the game in a myriad of different ways. If your goal is to complete difficult content or rise to the top of the PvP ranks or get all the achievements on one character, mastering one will be better for you. If your goal is to roleplay 57 combinations of race/class/gender/backstory, or just have a thousand screenshots of your stable of models in various outfits, having one character is not better for this purpose, it's the opposite of what you want.
Those 9000 hours I spent creating, leveling, and playing many, many characters were the total opposite of mindless. Having more slots available for me to fulfil my enjoyment doesn't take away from you having your enjoyment.

If Zos says no more character slots are coming, it must mean that the great majority of the player base is just fine with the current limit.
So, from that we can deduce that the people who want “moar Moar MOAR” are so few in number that their desire for “MOAR SLOTS” can be safely ignored.
Safely ignored.
The logic isn’t hard.

Dont ask me why. But the fact that some are willing to open additional accounts makes it highly un-likely that you will get additional slots. (Slightly more likely than world peace spontaneously erupting, only slightly)
Furthermore, what about those weirdos who have multiple accounts? Are they hosed, or some kinda account merger? You think zos will accommodate your wants over the customers have paid for a work around?
And yes it is a want not a need.
Its a "want" that multiple other MMOs seem to accommodate with consummate ease. Funny that.
Irrelevant. People have shown a willingness to buy more accounts, do you really think Zos of all companies is going to cut off revenue?Grianasteri wrote: »the provision of this "want", it is not possible to experience the game that Zos have produced, in terms of the division of magica and stamina characters, and the roles, healer, tank, dps, and pvp. I am unsure why some people think it is acceptable to literally only be able to fully and efficiently enjoy 50% of what is on offer (and even then only after paying).
So I would say it isnt a want, its a need, in order to fully experience the game that Zos has produced.
It is possible to experience the whole game with a single character. Now if you want to explore every little faucet, every possible permutation, then yes you are going to need a few more. Of course now we get fully into the semantics of the argument.
Setting that aside, how will people get compensated? Paid cash for that second account, have to give em something. Crowns, free ESO+, what have you.
And, for the sake of argument, someone with full banks on those account. Bank expansion? Zos has already shut that one down. And that is one singular issue.
Players found a work around. Is it good? Hell no. Is it likely to change? *Looks at recent decisions* Actions kinda speak for themselves.

I too have only 6 characters. All of my characters have fully fleshed out, written backstories, connections to each other, and to my single player TES characters as well. So don't go on about how someone with less characters than you has "little imagination"
Im not against any increase in character slots, but 18 is damn more than enough

18 is more than enough... for you, and thats fine. Others feel differently and I feel ZOS should cater for these dedicated, financially profitable players.

I see that you missed the part that you even quoted where I said "Im not against any increase in character slots"
I love how this particular conversation always ends up. Its truly amazing.
I mean, Team A wants something that has very little affect on Team B and might need a bit more resources from the game but it will add profit to the game as well. Thus this profit can go to building up the game more...
BUT>>>Team B will always be like "why do you want it Team A, like OMG!!"
Its like, I want a red car and and someone goes "OMG, I'm like so happy with a blue one, and you should too" or "Do you know much money they have to spend to make a red car..I mean really?? It just paint i know and they don't have to build a new building or spend a ton of money on it, but I'd rather them spend that money on something "I" want".
A great look into human nature.

I can only talk from experience, mastering one character feels way more satisfying to me than having an excessive amount of characters but each to their own.
Yea, If I were in this situation I wouldn't want to buy a new account or create new toons on the "other" server since none of my purchases "houses, mounts, crafting toons, etc" will not be applied to these new toons.
I guess it would be kinda interesting to start at 0 again and see how it goes, but naw I ain't got time for that.
