They buy account, cancel the transaction, get their money back, rinse, repeat. This is why there are so many bots and why banning is not effective.

Like some, I'm on the boat of "I've never run into them". I do almost every dungeon, almost 100% areas and never run into them and I've gotten to VR3. Guess I'm just lucky. Either way, bye kiddies who are quitting for stupid reasons.

Simple solution would be to make the instances player/group based with no re spawn and a 24 hour lock. And that goes with all quests, I canceled because of too many "Quest Complete"....... because some 1 else finished it as I entered....

dude, you let someone make you lose the money you put into a game because of an action that doesnt affect your gameplay in any way other than aggravation or being outrun in pvp by a gold buyer with the fast mount.

silly of you really. I have felt times of being pissed off about it too but then stood back, turned off zone chat to avoid the spammers (gotten much better lately tho) do my things in dungeons to finish the quest and leave. what happens is you get back into just questing, adventuring with your friends, enjoying the game and rarely see the bots anymore unless at trigger points like certain beginner dungeons and pve node farming. Outside of beginning zones they get even fewer to the point you dont see them hardly at all.

the problem is not the gold farmers/power levelers, its the arse hat players who pay real money for the cheat. address that and this will all go away

they are working on banning them, but letting them win over your money and enjoyment is just sad

The funniest part is, I haven't seen a single bot in public dungeon, but that is probably because I had early access and leveled fast enough to get out of first zone within a day.
I understand OPs frustration, but please keep it as truthful as possible.
Not every public dungeon is like that, not a single VR dungeon is like that (at least not yet, and hopefully never).
Another thing is, what is the purpose of this angry rant?
It doesn't bring any interesting points to the discussion nor gives solutions either. Just a normal rage-quit post. There is way to many of those already.

just remove public dungeons all together. Was cool but im tried of no NPCs t kill and bosses camped and fighting for quest spawn items. Just make it solo and group instance. Sucks but needs to be done.

by your char's solo actions its obvious youre not a bot tho your starter clothes would trigger many a look from other players. bots are grouped up, use pathing scripts to mob/node spawns or are parked at one boss spawn. they dont deviate from their programming no matter what. You could also be one of those power levelers who sell the acct after getting to lvl 50, but thats another discussion altogether. lol

Exactly this. I've never see an actual group of bots farming a boss or dungeon, probably due to early access.
For people without early access-
I highly doubt there are many many bots in VR zones. Shouldn't take more than a few days to hit VR1 and leave the bots behind.

How about this, you do not actually recive credit for the dungeon unless you actually do damage to the boss at the end, or heal someone who does damage. Then 7 minutes after you kill the boss, ample time to loot, and look around for goodies, the instance kicks you out.

Yes you can immediately reenter the a new phased version, but it makes the botters have to work for it.

Or if that's too much for you, semi-random boss spawn locations. They still spawn at the lowest levels, but can be anywhere at the bottom.

For overland bosses, randomize their locations within a set area as well. Once they are killed make the re-spawn timer be variable as well.

As someone who has botted in other games, EQ, I can tell you variable spawn locations for named targets is a pain in the rear, and while you don't really setup on top of the boss in EQ unless you just want to die. I'm sure it would be an issue to move your group to chase down a randomized boss.

Lastly there is the really fun option. every so often in the spawn cycle you allow for a VR10 version to spawn, and completely kill anything in the area, say a 10 % chance, then 3 minutes without aggro it goes away, and starts on next cycle.

That last one is my favorite.

Apparently lack of reporting is not the issue according to Firor who stated that and gold spammers constitute 85% of their tickets.

They should still implement it. Have the blue item drop for player first time, and that is it. soul shards can be bought.

I was looking at the screen shots earlier in the thread and noticed that "Gamemaster Satsui No Boto" was surrounded by a yellow aura, like a neutral but attackable monster. Surely this cannot be. I can envision a horde of boss farmers swarming and killing "Gamemaster Bob" before he has a chance to boot or ban anyone.

I also assume that this happened on the EU server? I really wish people would say what server they are on when things happen.
