Confirmation on Upcoming U29 In-Game Mail Changes?

So it looks like while they're now separating System Mail from Player-to-Player Mail, they're also going to be reinstating the expirations system that has been broken again.

I'm curious how this will work with current mail...

I'm sure many of you have kept various mail for memories, to you're like me and decided the best way to put off those Treasure Maps was to mail them to your alt account you never use.

When U29 lands, will all saved/unread mail be deleted forever? Will Player-to-Player mail be returned to the original sender?

I'd really like to know so I can decide if I need to hustle clearing out mail and maps (Since maps don't stack and can't be put inside a Guild Bank) or if I'll have some more time once U29 launches.

Thanks!

Personally, no matter what ZOS or anyone says, I'm just not gonna risk it; anything I care about is getting taken out of mail before the update drops. Mistakes happen, especially when new patches come around. I'm advising the same to anyone who asks.

For treasure maps, you can put single copies of the same one on each alt and in each chest/coffer. The game counts your current toon’s inventory and shared bank space as one space, but as long as you distribute the map copies onto alts or into chests and coffers, you can store up to 26 copies of the same map on an account (17 alts, 8 containers, and 1 between the last character and your bank).

    from the patch notes 6.3.0
When this update launches, all System Mails you currently have in your inbox will be given a timer of 30 days. When that timer gets close to running out, the mail will be highlighted with red text and iconography to indicate it will soon expire. When a System Mail's timer expires, that mail (and any items or gold that might be attached to it) will be deleted.

As for the separation of player and system mail, it's purely a cosmetic UI thing. They still share the same mail limit which is the same as it is on live, 72.

Once the update is live, all these mails will start real 30 days countdown :'( So you still have 30 days after the update to sort out your treasure maps and everything.
I have one very old mail which is very precious to me. Looking at that mail every time I open my mails in game is heartwarming...

I don't like upcoming (including mail system) update :/

It's ok, IMO it is too much, 7 days or less would be much better. That is not ok, players use mail system as a storage.
I hope they will change after U29 too: hirelings, bought items, stackable maps etc.

I know that situation. I mean, you can screenshot the message, but still...

I wish they could maybe only auto-delete system messages and messages with attachments (so they can't be used as free storage), but just leave the normal ones? A few lines of text shouldn't take much space.
