    you are absolutely correct.
    but it should also cost magicka, not just stamina.

    @Zenimax, please add a High Stamina and Magicka cost to jumping, to the point that 2 jumps will empty your stamina pool, AND your magicka pool.

    in addition to that,
    @Zenimax,
    please also make it that Jumping is disabled during combat.

    and yes i am being serious.

    Tracking players in this game is ridiculously easy. The reticle doesn't have to be even remotely centered for abilities/base attacks to hit. If you aim the reticle center mass when someone jumps they will still be targeted.

    The only time jumping could cause you to miss would be if you were aiming at the very bottom of the person's feet. If that happens to you frequently it's probably time to adjust your playstyle.

    Actually having jumping cost some stamina is a good idea, running cost stamina and that has 0 damage mitigation.

    Running has an actual effect and gain in combat though as you can obviously maneuver faster and line of sight your enemies, run out of range or run in range if they are trying to flee. Actual combat value. The cost is warranted. The one for jumping is obviously not.

    While I never jump like that myself, I do jump when I try to shoot at players on top of keep walls, since a lot of times I can't hit them while standing, but I can hit them mid jump. This is the only time I jump in combat except when I need to jump over things on the ground while bravely running away.

    But remember, as mentioned above...jumping "doesn't do anything". So just shoot through the wall!

    And yes, people who try to get jumping nerfed.. please stop trying to ruin our jumping playstyle, in fact it should be buffed! :)

    Imagine if jumping would cost Stam, walking forwards in combat, being stuck behind a small pebble in front of you, cannot jump over it because stam bar would go empty - great game. Would just uninstall if things went to that level of dumb someday.

    It mainly helps when it comes to breaking free from a cc. The momentum from jumping keeps you moving as you break free.

    Runaway, jump, face the enemy and range attack, face forward without losing momentum. Can use a target skill while jumping still allows the animation to occur. Even if you get CC'd it only takes effect after you land. You can repos without holding the movement keys. If you don't think jumping has any benefit, you aren't a PVP player and this is coming from a PVP hater.

    Jumping should cost the same as dodge roll to be honest, in PvP only. Besides the tactical advantages it gives, it just looks silly.

    Walking is obviously the real problem. Please make walking cost 50k stamina per second. Same with repairing keeps, it only makes sense. /s

    Oh hell yeah, I want in on the looking silly action. Wearing a wedding dress in Cyrodiil should cost stamina. Double for orcs. Mounting that white horse that twinkles and chimes should completely drain your stamina bar for one hour. PVP only, add it to battle spirit.

    Here we go again. I guess I need to call a wamulance because some big baby is calling for another nerf. You know what, while we are at it, why don't we make everything cost 1,000,000,000 gold to do everything and make every move hit for 1 point of damage and heal for 1 point of damage at this point. And just get rid of the champion point system therefore, solving all the crybaby problems of everything being too overpowered. Overpowered stuff is awesome And when a way to outmaneuver overpowered stuff comes around, all the crybabies sing let's nerf it. They only wanna nerf cause they got no skill.

    Hmm, I’ll have to try it. Honestly I’ve never heard anyone talk about it anywhere in the game.

    Jumping in ESO feel clunky compared to say Skyrim. Not sure why but it feels you have less control.
    Noted this then doing the obstacle course on the veiled heritance training island back during beta.
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Over the years my characters have through extensive jumping and running, while doing PvP and PvE content, build up an impressive stamina, endurance and strength to never get tired while jumping. With enough consistent training and dedication I believe OP can achieve the same.

    They also draw attention way more than then standing still. Was in an siege yesterday, some enemy was standing behind the siege. He draw some snipes so he started jumping.

    No idea that he was doing, probably to get some to chase him so he could kill them, he was blue and the keep was red so he could not do much alone.

    When I was able to stay in one place and jump, and let people come to me and not waste resources running or dodging I played this in the background to rally myself into a win.

    Then major and minor buffs were either lowered and removed. Then I found the health recovery method that helped me avoid that nerf and I was jumping up and down again. It Helps me see if I am stuck in any snares or immobilizations.

    I am a stam user by the way.

    I now just throw on heavy to avoid being dropped by sorcs and nbs like the good ol days.

    I havent been able to see whats been going on in pvp. I lost power that monday morning and just got it back. I slept for hours to get through the cold days with no food or running water. Suspended animation if you will. Anyways what did i miss so far?
