Art Vandalay from Sienfeld. Still seems a fine name that should be allowed.
But I'm more than happy for ZMO to block stupid, juvenile names en-masse though.

For example, in first few minutes of early start i took the name which I wanted.
And after thet I decided to check out of curiosity some names.
And I was amazed when i can create character named "Mephala"!!!
So in the end they will make me change it? It will not be a surprise. But I would like to know more precisely.

I really hope you are trolling....whiteboi can be seen are racist...especially the spelling of boi mixed with a skin color.

I think it's clever.
However, anybody with a name lifted from popular fiction, pop culture, or any published work shouldn't be too surprised when they get nabbed. It IS in the Code of Conduct.
I imagine that Art Vandelay (again, really good name; makes me giggle) falls under one of these two rules:
4.No name that contains or refers to copyrighted characters. E.g. "Harry Potter", "Drizzt Do'Urden", "Mario", "Link" etc.
5.No name that contains or refers to popular characters/names. I believe this mostly refers to any previously copyrighted work now in the public domain. E.g. "Dracula", "United States".

I had a character named "Archimonde" back in vanilla. I was "what the hell, Archimonde is dead they won't add him", but after that time travel instance, caverns of time, I logged one morning and my character was named "Bernard".
I talked with the gm and was like "seriously... Bernard? Couldn't you think of something better to shock me with?"

I just logged in to see a bunch of my characters with "reserved" names, now all flagged for rename. While some of them MAY have been questionable, one was simply unnecessary to change.
Art Vandelay. i was using him as a temporary mule. How on earth is this name unacceptable? ZOS please respond. I was really fond of that name.

Clearly I must re-read the Dante's Inferno to figure out which circle of hell that the "infringee" belongs in.mr_stealth_b14_ESO wrote: »Has there ever actually been a copyright/trademark suit filed over a player's character name in any game?

Yeah that made me laugh.
Personally, Id have forwarded it to SOE, got Brad to write up a mail with information to contact their legal department and then lol'd.
Guy would have run like a wuss from a letter by them.
