I really, really, really hope companions will be disabled in group content.
they will tank better than 90% of fake tank that we end up with in group finder

Excuse me, I have not seen the preview event because I had to get up early...
Combat companions? Permanent ones? 2 per player?
So does that mean trials with 12 players, 24 combat companions and 8 pets now?
I think these will be more for the RP and less for the combat side of things, since overland is pretty easy, but we have to wait and see. I hope they make them better than the NPCs that follow you during quests and sometimes block things. They didn't mention group content, but I really hope they will be disabled there.

many people are already complaining how easy overland is, story, delves, quests ... and now we need a companion for
those ?! would be totally useless, waste of time and resources.
It will be interesting ...
We need more information !

The more I read, the less interested I get....unless I can get a piggy back from them.

I think they did during the second stream yesterday evening. Also, I've read somewhere that "solo players" would be able to take their companion into a dungeon -.since they emphasized "solo", I guess you'll only be able if you're entering the dungeon alone?
