    Excuse me, I have not seen the preview event because I had to get up early...
    Combat companions? Permanent ones? 2 per player?
    So does that mean trials with 12 players, 24 combat companions and 8 pets now?

    As a tank that does a lot of dungeon finder groups, this worries me. There are already too many sorcs and wardens that don't control their pets, now there will be 3 more running around. Depending on group make up, there could be 10+ "allies" getting in the way in the dungeon now.

    The only content that Brian said companions would be excluded from was PvP and solo arenas, iirc. Only one companion per player at a time, though.

    I'm really hoping to see some ridiculous 12 companion all-pet-sorc trials on PTS this weekend. :smirk: I could use a good laugh.

    Only 1 at a time. Only for questing/travelling.

    I know my Argonian guild would love it :blush:

    What do you guys think? Will they add an Argonian Shaman? Maybe a Rootmender or even a Shadowscale! :love:

    They should really limited this to overland stuff.

    Dungeons and trials are already clogged up with pets and non-combat pets already.

    Everyone knows that this system is only a testing field for something bigger. They desperately want to cover that part of their fanbase which likes old-fashioned Bioware games.
    In order to do that you need to give us not someone new, but people we know already and actually want to travel with them or even romance them. Just saying.

I see a direction there, definitively. But yes, I'm also wondering why almost no recurrent npcs were used yet (except for Sereyne). People would be much more interested then, I assume.

    Exactly. The only problem is people usually won't stop on only wanting the main mascot characters for a companionship. And even to give them these characters devs need to stop toying with their fates and it's bad for the writing possibilities.

    So new guys are something in between, and I wonder how they'll perform. Won't stop us from wanting to smooch the others tho.

    I know I have been hard on the devs, and to a lesser extent to the mods ( I might have that backwards...but anyway) this proves to me once and for all you do listen.

    I hope that you can also modify the look/race. If there are only two options, oh dear, one wants Argonians, Kajit, Orcs ... I don't want any of these. Mer or no companion at all.

    You don't want an Argonian or Khajiit dressed in rags to follow you around - like back in TES3?

    No, honestly, they won't be customizable, as they will have their own backstories and special quests, but more follower npcs will be coming. So sooner or later there will be a bigger variety to choose from.

    My husband, who didn’t see the stream, asked me if unlocking a companion meant he or she was unlocked for just one character or for all alts, too. I’m guessing, since we were told they are acquired via a quest and that we can level them up, that this is character-based, not account-based? Meaning you could end up potentially with 18 different versions of each companion, each at a different level/place in their backstory? If so, that will be a bit weird...

    Does anyone know if they are account based, like the merchant, banker, and thief from the thieves guild quest, or character-based?

    I just want the cat banker or merchant to fight alongside with me when I have them active.

    I would like to see those little furballs attacking a npc mob lol.
