account wide achievments and titles?

why not make achievments account wide? i think this would be so much better than what we have now also if collectibles like hats or skins from achievments are account wide why not make titles and achievments also account wide? for example i have titles that i have earned on my main pve character and i want to use them on my pvp character but i cant and also i cant obtain them on my pvp character because the achievments that grants some of this title are too hard to complete on pvp character or would require from me to change whole build just for one title when i already obtained it on another character. pls make achievemnts and titles account wide

I play my alt DD in places where I got achievs on my main, so I don't have to stress that I don't have it on my main. But I would like to play my other chars more with my guild or friends, but I can't if we progress achievements I don't have. This system sucks to be honest. I don't see any point in it to be just character bound. WoW has achievements account wide so I don't understand why TESO couldn't. But it's too late to make it account wide, so we just have to deal with it unfortunately.8 -

You could just make it so it shows on what character you did the achievement and keep it account wide. We can theorize about it all we want, but ZOS will never make this happen anyway

So they can all share the same wardrobe, skins, costumes, dyes, mounts, pets, champion points, homes etc, but somehow achievements and titles should be off limits? That's a stretch...
Every character is an extension of your account. If you've achieved anything on any character, you should be able to display such on any character. Role players would obviously be free to limit use of such things if they prefer, but I've seen no argument that convinces me that sharing titles and achievement points is a bad decision.11 -

yes showing it on other characters is of course not lore friendly or not rp friendly because you obtained it on other character but it its player friendly because the system we have forces you to obtain one achievment multiple times if you want a title from that particular achievment on other character and this just gets boring when you have to grind for the same achievment multiple times and if you do it multiple times like second or third time there is no longer a satisfaction from achieving it2 -

why do you think its too late? i think they could just change that and make all the achievments from all of your character merge (for example you have X achievement on your first character and but you dont have it on second character and you have Y achievment on your second character but dont have it on first character and then they merge it and now you have XY achievements on both characters)0 -

You can play level 3 character with emperor costume and vCR skin, I don't get why this is okay but title is some mysterious, big nono in eyes of some players.4 -

I'm never punished if I'm not in the mood to play my main character there - every little alt becomes just as important.
In fact, this allows me to change main characters at will; I barely play my original main character there nowadays, and my alt became my new main character few months ago
I would absolutely love to have this in ESO too, and there is no reason to deny us this option. I really hope for it in future 5 -

I do support achievements being account wide and in my case it is an easy call. In my head canon, all my 'characters' are the same small elf. Appearance, mount, pet, even name (notwithstanding tiny variations to get around the game's administrative limits). Her approach is literally to choose which class to play for a given session as casually as she chooses her outfit or hairstyle.PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo1 -

However, I would be happy with an achievements tab that gives you an overview of which character has which achievement and the overall progress across all the characters to max achievement points.
And definitely not to titles being account wide.3 -
InaMoonlight✭✭✭✭✭I'd vote no on that if I could, the achievements on other characters is for me a large part of even playing that other character. If they became accountwide, and you completed them all, a HUGE motivation for playing another character vanishes.
Besides, I'd feel it unjust wearing a title I earned on another character but the one that could do whatever the title included. Like wearing Flawless Conqueror , on a char that cant finish round 3 on regular MA... The cosmetics, even the armors and weapons earned, sure fair enough as someone said, you can always loan out your hat, but never an earned title.Edit = Typos ... as usual. <;D3 -

kind of solution is Kyoma's global achievements addon for pc users, that does just exactly what players begged for for years: it adds a drop-up list, where you select overview of achievements, be it every character or "global", which sums up all achievements from all characters for us completionists.0 -

✭✭As a templar healer main, I can only support that. We are a very old guild so we have mostly templar healer mains. The thing is, almost any of us have warden healer in pocket, but none of us is willing to bring him because of getting tri-fecta achievement on an alt. So we end up progressing tri-fectas longer because of not having Major Resists and Minor Toughness which would surely made progression easier. But account wide achievements and titles would solve everything. The second solution is giving Warden DDs ability to reliably proc at least Minor Toughness on your party (all other classes have reliable ways of proccing their Minor Buff regardless of spec, only Warden is an exception), but I not see this happening anytime soon.
The only achievements that absolutely shouldn't be account wide are achievements for Alliance War ranks since Alliance War ranks are (and should) stay as character specific for obvious reasons.Edited by Olupajmibanan on January 26, 2021 2:00PM3 -

Though there needs to be a system or a way to view what achievements each character has. Since the rewards, other than titles are mostly shared across the accounts I should be able to see what I've done easily on each character. Then I could break it down and maybe only do certain ones with certain characters.
After playing a little and my memory jogging...things like recipes should be account wide. There is no reason why if I learn a recipe I can't just make it on another character. I'm able to craft runes and what not that I learned the words for just cause the quest says so.
