Really, ZoS... again?

Dear ZoS

I understand that working on a huge game like ESO is not an easy task. I worked in graphic imagery design myself and know how things are. I understand all predicaments of launching a whole new DLC with several modifications and perks to a game so big (and amazing) as ESO. I really do. I forgive you (kinda).

But... REALLY? Again?

I mean, you have months of preparations. You have the Testing Environment, hours and hours of maintenance, upgrade spending hours for final checking. And still the game broke.. bad.

Sorry, but as a consumer and almost a ESO's whale I should say this is really frustrating. I'm trying to be polite, and not be unfair to you ZoS. But you keep screwing up every TIME!

Please, fix it. And give us some compensation -- a new bug pet (irony), or a pony or a hat. IDK, but we deserve some acknowledgement of our patience and trustworthiness toward you and ESO.

Don't give up ESO, Its a amazing game, despite all bugs. But you need to change your development approach, somehow!

    this is such a routine at this point that it makes me wonder whether they really could, in fact, do anything to improve this- or it really is just the sheer scope of the game and how it's impossible to ensure scale-ability from PTS to live.
    though some things are, indeed, baffling that they weren't caught in PTS.

    What, specifically, are you asking them to fix?

    All you've said about the problem is "And still the game broke.. bad."

    Unless this is a general topic about every single bug and problem ESO has ever had you need to make it clearer what exactly you want them to fix and compensate you for.

    so far i haven't noticed as much bug crap yet with markarth as i have with greymoor's initial release with eastern skyrim. *** Greymoor practically broke the game with all the bugs it introduced, without a doubt ZoS's buggiest release to date. Markarth so far is mild compared to it. Though one thing that's annoying me rn is the fact that razor caltrops is no longer applying major breach like it should... i want that fixed immediately.

    A few minor bugs is one thing, glaring errors like mundus stones reset, skills missing, morphs missing, attributes reset, falling through the world etc is another!

    I would consider this reaction a bit heavy-handed if I hadn't fallen through the floor FOUR TIMES trying to complete the Rink of the Fallen Blood in Maelstrom Arena trying to get the last Arena golden plunder skull tonight. For crying out loud, that kind of nonsense makes me feel like ZOS holds its customers in outright contempt.

    I mean they couldn't fix the bug in their main storyline with a month of warning. I would have expected it to take priority over anything else.

    I'll take fixing Horror Within body markings as a compensation. It bugs out with half of costumes/outfit styles and doesn't feel like a "reward for a community effort" or even a marketing bait.

    When I logged in and saw how many sets I need to deconstruct and re-arrange after adding them to my Collection book, I was very tempted to subscribe again (I can't play without subscription). But seeing how many bugs this update has introduced, and seeing how they are not hotfixed... It's really discouraging :| I'm still afraid to login to my werewolf characters, and I certainly don't want to fall through the world or be teleported to wayshrines randomly when doing quests/dungeons.

    In other game I play, if some major bug suddenly happens (very rarely), it's hotfixed ASAP (usually within few hours). And that game doesn't even have any subscription model :/

    Agreed. To boot, some of the ones I play have even done that amid the pandemic for it's entire duration and they're at least on most of the top 20 MMO lists out there (sometimes even above ESO, which is ironic). I'll be glad when they stop using that as an excuse, quite honestly.

    Ah, so you want them to address the sub-set of problems they have already chosen to deal with.

    Sensible I suppose, but if that's the case the first post seems like a bit of an over-reaction. I thought it might be something more specific you considered a bigger problem than the bugs ZOS has chosen to focus on, but since the post contained absolutely no actual information I couldn't be sure.

    Weaving is basically broken levels. My group basically just bailed on VAS HM last night. I think possible instance was broken on top of broken weaving made it more infuriating to play then fun.

    Weaving = Rotation.
    Rotation = DPS.
    DPS = Gameplay.
    Gameplay = Gamebreaking.

    Its not hard to see.

    Yep agreed, this is the worst bug, and it’s apparently been going on for weeks on PTS. Unbelievable that the decision was made to push it to live without a fix. Truly a new low.

    Really, seems like par for the course.

    Anyone who was here for the greymoor launch should hardly be surprised, but I will admit breaking the crown store in addition to everything else that got messed up is impressive.
