Down 2 nights (prime time in AU mind you) in a row is unacceptable. At this point I'm expecting some of my subbed money back, or I won't be renewing it.
Do they not care? All it takes for them is rotate the maintenance times so it's fair for everyone. Shift the period by 6 hours each time you do a maintenance. The solution is so simple.
So play an Australian MMO then?
You really, really can't be mad at them for doing it in the off hours of their home country and time zone. Seriously now.
Huh.. I don't understand the distinction. Why should a customer in AU know or care that the servers the game runs on is located in America? The customer just wants to play the game.

Love blokes like this. There he sits upon his white high horse all proud and smug but he is the first to scream with white *** rage when they do the odd maintenance during american prime.
pathetic and typical.
Have a bit of understanding for those that are taking it up the digital ass solely due to where they live. Most Aussies like those that have posted here are fine with maintenance, hell we are even fine with hot fixes BUT we have the right to be annoyed when we have had 30% of our prime time game play interrupted, we are only human after all.
Most of us understand this is only short term pain but seriously my over weight american brother, my dollar is worth as much as yours, actually its worth more but that is a conversation for another dayAnd not that it matters, but I'm in the same boat as you guys even though I live in the same timezone as ZOS, as I'm awake in these hours due to my schedule.
I basically get plowed by the maintenance, too, even though its 8 AM for me. I just understand why they do it is what I'm saying.

That isn't going to happen.
@ja-elkmmorwb17_ESO He fired, I fire back. Its how we crazy 'Mericans do.
@Wolfborn You're not getting any smarter. If you were you'd consider downloading the EU client instead because their maintenance fits in better with your country's primetime.

They could scheduled it at eu prime time. AU and SEA have no choice but to play on NA server while EU are not affect by this yet they have their own server that scheduled around them.

What? Everyone can play on both servers. Although not at the same time.
It would not make sense to take down both megaservers at the same time.
Prime time in NA > prime time AU , they have to pick one. Bugs are rampant in the game, they're trying to fix it. Downtime during the NA slowest time period has the least impact on the player base.

Isn't the current CEO of EA a guy from Melbourne? There are a lot of Aussies in the gaming industry on your side of the Pacific. And I don't see many of us posting when an outage occurs (rarely as it does) in US prime time. I don't understand how if effects the US players when someone who is effected by an outage when you guys are, by and large asleep? Yeah, we aren't happy but, when the roles are reversed I don't see the same posting demographics.
We're consumers, just like you and we get antsy when we are inconvenienced just like you. Think about it that way rather than telling US what we should be prepared to accept as paying consumers... Just like you.
J.
The EU megaserver is currently located in the NA region. So the lag actually wouldn't be any different at all...?
Anyway. If my first post was so damn insulting even though all I said was "So don't play, you can't expect them to work outside of their home region's schedule", then I just ain't got anything left to say. This is borderline potato.

Are you insane? You want teams of people, 20 - 40 people, or more, to rotate their work day hours to please you?
"Hey mate, we know you like working 8am - 5pm but there is a customer who hates that you are messing up their evening play time and they demand that on Tuesday you have to work from 8pm to 5am so that they can keep playing a video game. Keep in mind that we also expect you to be back to work at 8am on Wednesday for your normal work shift. Yes, we understand that you have a life too, but see, this customer is SO important to us that we are willing to screw with the lives of 40 people and make their lives hell, just so the customer who wants to play a video game isn't upset. Yes, we know you are tired mate, just drink more coffee."

Actually, you missed the "So play an Australian MMO then?" comment which IMO was not needed and honestly was quite childish and arrogant.
