Bows and Staves for the "Viper's Sting" set are listed in the collections, but they were removed from dropping in One Tamriel (and they still do not drop, as of Stonethorn/U27).

Here is the relevant excerpt from the 2.6.2 patch notes:

Fixed an issue that allowed several item sets that are specialized to a specific weapon type to drop outside that weapon type.
[...]
The Viper’s Stine (sic), Knightmare, Ravager, and Crest of Cyrodiil item sets no longer drops on weapons other than one-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, and shields.

Of these four sets, Ravager and Crest were substantially altered since One Tamriel, but Viper's Sting and Knightmare remain largely unchanged. Ranged weapons do not appear in the new collections screen for Knightmare, but they do appear for Viper's Sting.

There are two possible solutions to this, each with their own caveats...

Remove bows and staves from the collections for Viper's Sting, but this may cause issues for bows and staves that dropped for players prior to their removal in One Tamriel.
Restore bows and staves to the Fungal Grotto I/II loot table, but in this case, Knightmare should be looked at as well for consistency.

Similar situation with Aegis Caller.

I kept two bows because I thought they’d be removed from the loot table eventually. Now I get to have them filled in the loot table, but most players will not.

To be honest, there is no justification to have eliminated these things from the loot drops. We can still benefit from melee-proc set ranged weapons in a few ways, e.g. by benefitting from the 4th piece bonus at all times and by proccing the set even with a ranged weapon via bash or a melee skill.

They are arguably more useful than things you have left in the game, like lightning staves of DKS or resto staves of Bone Pirate. Why are these ranged weapons denied to players but not those?

They should all be restored.

Wrath of the Imperium as now been added to the new sticker system....Thank you..

However, when you equip the set it does not collect it.

All my pieces say Bound Not Collected

And even though I placed them all on my character and walked to the Transmute station....the Transmute station still had ALL pieces grayed out and would not allow me to reconstruct any of them.

Two similar but opposite bug reports:

Perfected trials gear (e.g., Perfected False God's Devotion) can be reconstructed at sub-50 levels. Since perfected trials gear can be acquired only from vet difficulty, this seems like a bug.

Non-perfected ability-altering weapons cannot be reconstructed at sub-50 levels. Since players of any level can enter a normal-mode arena and acquire a non-perfected weapon at any level, this restriction seems like a bug.

Agree, here restore them, they make more sense than having bows of healing sets as an example.

Agree, here restore them, they make more sense than having bows of healing sets as an example.

Wish they would, but the patch notes from last week suggested they were being removed from the collection instead of added back into the game.

“Fixed an issue where some Item Sets displayed weapon types that were no longer obtainable. If a weapon type is excluded from dropping for a particular Item Set, that weapon type will not show up in the collection.”
