If you don't have Greymoor now, are you going to buy it to get the event goodies?

I pre-ordered the minute it was available after the reveal event in January - but got a refund on PC release day (after it was confirmed that there wouldn’t be any new character slots). I since won it twice via Twitch - but would definitely not purchase it due to the event ‘cause I still think there are too many things to protest.

Nope. Still no. I'll get the meat of the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline with the Markarth DLC while Antiquities gear seems very prone to getting nerfed and the rest of the rewards are just cosmetic.

And I still haven't decorated my Psijic Manor.

50% off or something like that - probably yes.

oh and that's in big part because they tied the tickets to it. if it doesn't go on sale, I have enough for the last berry at least. I prefer to keep my accounts at the same indrik progress, so I'll likely adjust how I spend tickets on main account to compensate.

IMO? full price - no, unless you are REALLY really into vampire lore/ loved solitude and surrounding areas in ES5

Aight. I am really into the idea of the antiquities (is that what it's called) mini-game. I was one of the 10 people in the world who did archaeology in WoW, so the thought of digging up fun things in Elder Scrolls seems appealing to me. I'll wait for a sale though.

@d0e1ow - eh, I loved archaeology in WoW, but I got SO burned out. I thought Antiquities would be the same.... but so far, it's really not as big a problem. The lore (what of it I've seen in the last few days) is the huge draw (because it's related to all the TES games I've played since Arena released).

Very interesting and enjoyable, so far.

11 I guess, cause I very much enjoyed and still do archeology in wow. this is both less and more grinding in some ways. but in generaly - if you enjoyed archeology, IMO, antiquities are right up your alley

No. Housing is a mildly interesting mini game I might engage in if it came with the cost of the game instead of being a MTX vehicle. I play MMOs for PVP and raids, and those are broken in ESO with no improvement in sight. The fact that a MTX-driven mini game is in good shape is neither here nor there.

Not to be negative, but if it's not on sale there is no way I'd pay the full price it was for pre-order!

It's already been on sale, and I've already completed the main story by running it quickly at launch. Everything I've heard about it since launch is mediocre, and in 8 months it will be free to me as a subscriber.

The house and the houseguest are cool, but there will be better in time.

I am gutted I won't finish my mossheart indrik though, I kind of feel like being a subscriber should let me participate in that - I wish they'd let this year's dlc dungeons also reward event tickets.

If I didn't already have Greymoor I'd want to find out as much as possible about what the house looks like and where it is (ideally find a way to preview it myself) so I could decide if I want it or not.

I like housing generally but there's lots of houses I don't like. I never really use the one that came from the Summerset event (I used to store spare furniture there, until I realised putting it in a chest made it possible to preview it in all my houses) and there's lots I've previewed and decided I wouldn't use if I had them, so I don't buy them. So there's a good chance I wouldn't want this house either and then I wouldn't buy Greymoor to get it, but if I liked it enough that (in addition to the actual content of the chapter) it justified the cost I would.

But as it is I've already got Greymoor so, assuming ZOS made the goals realistic (which seems likely, it would be really bad advertising for the game if they couldn't scrape together enough players/activity to meet their own goals) I'm just hoping I do like the house and will use it for something.

I already have Greymoor, but I wanted to share my opinion. I generally welcome all the things which increase value of the DLC. House guest, pet and house definitely increase the value, and I'm pleased with that

But if I didn't already have Greymoor, they wouldn't make me buy it.

1) I'm only interested in very few house guests, which have very low chance to be introduced

Argonian NPCs from Murkmire, both named and random. Most of all I would love to see Sulahkeesh in my house

Old wise argonian shadowscale.
So the house guest from upcoming event doesn't look interesting for me.

2) The colorful fawn pet looks nice, but I wouldn't use it - so it's also useless for me.
If it was Irish Wolfhound based dog, as large as they were in Skyrim (or at least as large as Great Daenian Hound pet in ESO) - even this pet alone would make me buy Greymoor

3) House is very nice as reward from the event. Technically, this adds lot of additional value to the Greymoor, cause houses cost lot of crowns/gold.
But I already have few houses, and I'm satisfied with all of them.

I have old example where promotion with new item worked on me...
I was not interested in Vvardenfell "chapter" when it was released. I bought it only thanks to promotion ~after 6 months. They were offering Nix Ox mount for all Vvardenfell's owners, for limited time only. I saw videos of people riding that mount, and it helped me to decide

If they offered some other mount during that promotion, I might not like it as much.

Seriously, though - this isn't new for this game, or for the game industry in general. Or for retail in general. Don't see what there is to be outraged about.

(And no, I don't own it. And for all that I'm interested in the house and Antiquities, I'm not $40 interested in them. I've got more than enough backlog to work through these days, that I don't need to buy more games right now.)

there IS a sale by the way, just double checked - its 50% off for digital upgrade - at least in ZoS' shop (all the other official retailers still seem to have full price, at least for pc). so I guess i AM spending that $20 after all. edited - playstation store has a sale as well active. can't tell you anything about xbox as i don't own it so not sure where i would even check

As much as I wanted to buy it, I've read some reviews about it even here in the forums. "It's not advisable for casuals (w/c I am one) because the zone does not offer much."

The Indrik? Nah, I'm not really into mounts they're just cosmetics besides, noisy hooves. I'll settle to my Guar.

I've been thinking too if I bought greymoor now. That trial will be another eye candy to me. Since I'm not in a guild, I will not experience it

as much as I wanted to learn trials.
