Yeah, thanks for the suggestion Res_Ipsa, but if you've completed that quest area it doesn't work. Just tried it, and went further into the cave where there are still some orcs to kill. No go. Still stuck with stupid glowing feathers....

Sigh. ZoS... *please* give us the option to make this go away. So sick of it now.

i tried the orcs and it didnt work. it probably does in another instance at an earlier point in the quest.

i also have a ticket open with Zinamax and am getting BS responses from them. i am the type of person where i like to enjoy looking at my character, and to be a sparkly twilight vampire is unacceptable...

Anyone who has this buff looks ridiculous, you look like a bunch of twilight vampires sparkling like fairies in a disney book. Just thought id leave that opinion here.

I'm sorry that the effect from this quest is bothering you, it is intended to be a reward for the usage of the persuasion skill during the course of the Wilderking's quest.
We realise a number of players wish to be able to remove this effect and are looking into a way to implement the means to switch off the associated visual effect but a fix is not yet ready to go live so I do apologise and I understand your frustration but for the moment at least I can only recommend you keep an eye on the Support site for future patch details as we do not have a timeframe for any changes to this at the moment.

So I guess they actually thought it would be a good idea to make half the playerbase trail glowy rainbow bits forever?

At least they know they were wrong, now it remains to see how long it will take for them to implement a fix. With all the other bugs going on, I wager we'll stop glowing sometime next year.

Well anyway, there you go people. There is no fix, they know it's a problem, now we have to wait. That's something, at least.

Your post reads like this was intended to be a long-term reward for using persuasion - vice a short-term thing that was a "once-and-done" that clicked off when the quest was completed. But I'd love to know who thought half the playerbase trailing glowing feathers everywhere they go was a good idea...

some of you number crunching Matrix readers might find this hard to believe, but some people (myself included) care VERY much how their character is portrayed visually in game.

it has always been a staple in the Elder Scrolls games for customization. look at the modding community from the previous games if you don't think Visual cosmetics are a big deal... they are probably the sole reason why the previous titles were so successful.

Yes it is a big deal to ALLOT of us.

Personally I don't buy it that this was meant to be a permanent reward. It has all the hallmarks of a bug. In that same questline you can use persuasion to get another effect turning forest creatures non-aggressive to you. That effect lasts for about a minute, then terminates.

Spirit Armor was probably intended to last for the duration of the fight it was given prior to, maybe the entire Wilderking questline. Someone likely forgot to add a trigger for removing it after the fight was done.

I am also going to continue asking for it to be removed, or for my case to be escalated and I recommend those who are affected to do the same - the more noise we make the sooner ZOE will realize this is not something which can be delegated to some "to-do" list which will take who knows how long to get around to. If I wanted to see glowy rainbows everywhere, I'd watch My Little Pony.

every faction is vulnerable to this bug, because every faction will play through the other factions content upon completing the main story quest line.

im with the Daggerfall Covenant and i am sparkling like a twilight vampire...

Has anyone confirmed that the buff actually WORKS after a certain amount of time? I still have the buff on me, but I'm not sure if it's actually increasing my armor by 5% still.

Okay guys. I've managed to flag down a GM for this problem. Its was a bit tricky for him to remove and he had to get a second GM to assist him, but it was removed.

I asked if he could bring it up to the rest of the devs as something to address in a future patch and he said, and I quote: "I can shoot it up the ranks to address this issue". His name is Mark. So I can thank him.

It's a bugged quest update, yes again the word bug appears. Anyways it was only supposed to last for the quest period. I forget the name of it now but you get it around level 15. Why are you complaining anyway it's just a permanent buff.

I just want it resolved. im in a Role Play Guild and have avoided RP till it is fixed. it just is way to immersion breaking for me to RP with it on as a Vampire...

Thanks for the shred of hope Ethoir, i am glad they fixed it for at least one of us ill hang in there. hopefully i will be contacted eventually *sighs*
