The Walking ESO

Honestly I love walking in ESO. With high graphics the vast and diverse landscape is perfect some pure lazy wandering. I prefer First person camera and less busy areas (I don't mind 1-2 random players rapid maneuvering in the horizon).I fear too many people just rush from A to B and lose out a great experience. I wonder are there many who just likes to enjoy the scenary of the game, and take some walk without any task in their mind?

Some times I get in those chill moods too. I’ll hit F10 (UI=gone) with my good hand and just slowly walk around in first person mode, admiring the level design and the masonry in some of these cities. Absolutely gorgeous! It’s like playing in a living desktop wallpaper

I love walking in Reapers March, Alikr desert, Hews Bane, Elsweyr and Summerset. The sound of streams in Summerset and Hews Bane make me have to go to the bathroom.

Pretty much in any open world type game I play, I always find myself wandering the map, just to see how much I am allowed to explore. Find hidden stuff or lonely isolated places is just icing on the cake.

Rarely do it, exception: The guided tour an Bosmer does for an group of Altmer and Khajiit is well worth it drunk.
He getting more and more frustrated.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Yes indeed, I delight in perambulating!
"So, drinking is a sacrament to Y'ffre... because it's his way of reminding us not to take things too seriously... You know how the other Elves are. Altmer have their crystal towers, and that's how they want to be — cold and perfect. And Dunmer are just like their Red Mountain — smouldering and dark. We just want to have a drink and not worry about it."

Finding some hidden places is always great, I remember when a I got to the far eastern-southern section of Coldharbour (behind the nord village) by accident, and realised that because no quest lead me there I never have been there. Altough coldharbour maybe not the most relaxing place, the glimmering ponds are have some unique atmosphere (also no player around there).

I wouldn't say anyone is losing out on a great experience if they want to make the most of their time and get from place to place in a speedy manner. A lot of people don't play for what you personally would consider a 'great experience', and to them getting the stuff they want done is more satisfying. Everyone has different likes and dislikes when it comes to what they do in the game, after all. Some people want to zoomzoom (I'm one of them), and others like to take a slower approach. Neither way is right, neither way is wrong. Do what makes you happy.

I wonder how many player realize that the same group will walk all the way from Eldenroot to Haven during the tour.

Depending what I'm doing, I often like to walk from place to place, especially if I'm farming nodes. Unless I see bots or other players doing the same, then its a flat out sprint :D

I love 1st person camera too. That's how I completed Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim and that's how I played ESO till level 350cp. Still remember entering vCoA2 and trying to complete in 1st person. It was then I learned that camera mode was meant for exploration. :D

When I am off doing difficult content, I often switch to 1st person too. Although I dont do much walking. I am mostly in a hurry all the time. :D

I like to enjoy the scenery, but I do it while standing still (preferably on some high spot).
There is only one thing which can make me walk slowly in overland - my mount  Not to look at the scenery, but to look at the mount's movement. I recorded this little stroll in December, when I discovered that wolves have unique walking animation for the tallest polymorph in the game... That disco walk is perfect with some disco music <3

Technically, if I had lot of time without absolutely anything else to do, I could walk like this for hours, in any scenery :D

I totally agree that not everybody enjoy such activity. My concern is coming from my own experience. When I started to play ESO very early I got the feeling I have to zoomzoom to everywhere, and get the most out of my ingame time, by most I mean most exp/gold/achievements. I felt that way because it is a multiplayer game, and wanted to be better then the average player. When I play solo games I play it in a much relaxed way. Then after some time I realised I can be a "good"(in my own term) player and enjoy the game in a relaxed way also.

I don't mean to judge other play styles, but it conforts me that there other who likes to take a good old walk sometimes in ESO.

I always do the dungeons first time in first person camera (normal mode). And I have to say there are many dunegons which feels really different in 1st person compared to 3rd person. In my opinion the dg quests are a better experience when doing them 1st person. But yeah veteran dungeons become another difficulty in 1st person :D

Not in ESO so much. When I'm in ESO I tend to maximize the amount of fun I can have and that's typically involved with friends and/or activities like PvP or Trials, as that's where I get the most enjoyment. But I'm all for a good nature walk outside, as I typically go every morning for a walk/run before starting work.
