The AoE Tests and Performance in Cyrodiil

    Coagulating Blood OP I guess. This gonna be fun from perspective of healing...
    I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

    Why is ZoS just jumping straight into combat changes. Cosmetics have gone absolutely overboard. Flaming Custom armor outfits with sup high res seams where the mesh wasn't smoothed over on 100 people probably causes a maybe a bit of lag. Slam the enemy into the alliance outfits(roleplayers rejoice army uniforms) so you only load one dang thing for every person on the other team.

    Starting with core mechanics is not the first step in optimizing.

    I mean people use polymorphs in pve to reduce lag, so maybe it's a good idea..... Wish the PvP community test that on their own so that ZoS can check it. It hurts the bottom line cause people want people to see that they bought the shiny particle vomit of a house and outfit that cost 50 dollars.

    Good point actually. Coag is finally going to be the best heal in the game.

    Meanwhile stamblades gonna be spamming Ambush/Surprise Attack/Incap while Templars and other classes are struggling with all the cooldowns, cost increases, penalties and bugs associated with their aoe skills. This is going to be a hoot.

    They come up with AOE being a problem, literally, after just releasing Venomous Smite which procs an AOE dot on a target that travels around with the target, and then has to perform a calculation every second of who is in range, and who to apply a dot tick to, along with all of the calculations on how much each one of those ticks on each person is.

    Then they release the 6.1 patch notes with umpteen new or buffed proc sets all doing exactly what they say causes lag!

    how would you test how high population density affects server performance on a test server where <10 people are in cyrodil at a time?

    why is their now a 3 second cool down to aoes i guess templars aren't even gonna be a usable class next patch pvp wise i swear this is probably one of the worst ideas i have seen like im sorry but its true imagine your in cyrodiil alone on a stamina or magicka templar and next minute you get jumped by a nightblade spamming surprise attack how are you gonna counter their burst when you can only put out 1 set of jabs and have to wait 3 seconds after the 4 jab to reuse the ability the idea of that just puts me off pvp in general like why would this even be necessary to begin with and not only mentioning this one class im also speaking for spin wardens stam sorcs mag sorcs dragon knights etc like this is worse than the animation cancelling nerfs by miles........

    They are just testing how much aoe affects the pvp lag, the 3 seconds cooldown isn't set in stone, this isn't a balance patch this is just a test phase.

    If the server cannot support high number of players, just set the limit to 20 players each alliance

    Yeah... This is complete nonsense, how they imagine to balance this out. This game really is not even in beta state, it's like alpha stage, ZOS have no clear aim, not to mention how to achieve it. I'm sick and tired of this... They change core mechanics every patch since 2 years, I'm exhausted...
    I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

    Yeah, maybe ZOS should really do a test with unified appearance and mounts, like the outfit and horse from the all races, all alliances pack. If it helps I'm all for it. Better than gutting the gameplay.

    The problem is these ballgroups will all be running 2-3 proc damage sets per player, replacing AOE spam damage with light attack proc set spam, whilst still cleansing all dots themselves, just using a new means to achieve the same outcome

    Assume one of the four options, cool down, global cool down, ramping costs, cooldown plus ramping costs is going live. It will apply to PVE as well as PVP, and as ZOS stated in the notes, every class and skill line will have to be rebuilt because they will be unusable.

    Every MMO has That Patch that starts the Death Spiral. This is probably That Patch for ESO.

    The main issue is the Servers cannot handle the player base load. They have known this for years but instead of investing in more robust servers to handle the players they instead gimp the players.

    I would guess that ZOS brings in around $15 million U.S. each month in subs and crown sales. With that income one would think an updated, more powerful Server is an easy thing to invest in.

    If all these AOE changes make it to Live permanently and make it to PVE then the game will die. People are not going to play this game with 3 second cool downs on their AOEs. It's ridiculous.

    Invest in new, more powerful servers and stop gimping the game.
