In the meantime you can always select the FX using its edition window, it will be added to your current EHT selection.

You are the best !! I still can't select with the hotkey but the select button does work on the fx itself and I can select multiple fx

Happy to help. Clone and Select buttons are super handy when building with the same FX, just go clone - select as many times as you need, then go to builds and unleash your creativity.

While this is entirely true, I always find this one a little bit tricky, same as using "select all FX" from the drop down menu "selection mode". EHT does not show the distance to the object in the main selection window, while the FX menu ("placed" tab) does - this makes it easier to work with bigger numbers of cloned or copy pasted FX, especially if you assign them to groups (groups are visible in the "placed" tab). Left clicking on an FX listed in "placed" tab will open its editing window (only because it's better to mention it, just in case).

Imho, it's all down to numbers - if you work with just a few funishings/FX of the same type it doesn't matter how you select. With bigger numbers of the same furniture/FX selecting manually with your hotkey/placed tab makes much more sense. Yes, you can lock the items, but with bigger numbers it will seriously limit what you see on screen while in editing mode.

So if you're this kind of a crazy person... yep, manual selection and "single item" selection mode
