New crown mounts sound wimpy.

I hope you guys at Zenimax didn't listen to all the haters and complainers about he death hound mount as i love how evil and badass it sounds, I get one of the mounts in a drop and it makes a sad little hissing sound like a newborn lizard. What the hell is this? They are supposed to be evil badass sounding mounts and now I can't take them seriously. If you did capitulate to the complainers behind the scenes it didn't help as no one wants to buy them and ow the few evil players who want them are now dissatisfied thanks.

I managed to get an apex drop and they don't even have any special animations. They have the same animation as the normal mounts.

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of rewards... The amount of money I payed just to realize ZOS done a half job again...

I am really angry right now. Shame on you ZOS!

These crates are awful. I was going to consider attempting a radiant apex but the base rewards are so *** and horrendous and I think they tampered with the drops to make everything harder to get on this one like the Xanmeer.

I had 6 bonus card (5th card) from 30 crates and 5 out of them were an epic reward. The drop-rates seems edgy, I cannot know it for sure, but my bet is they reduced the legendary and apex chance of the bonus cards for at least the first week.

Even that does not matter... however the quality of work they failed to produce is .... outraging...

I came to the forums to ask if the Apex mounts were broken or if they were supposed to not do anything special.
Looks like ya beat me to it.

They don't do anything.

They don't have a special summon, no glow, no special footprints, nothin' but a normal roar when you press spacebar, just nothin'... and the Cursebound Kagouti I got just has reused Lizard Guar sound effects when running.

Just disappointing

Yeah we all felt the same until got one and tried it. It's in line with a legendary reward mount. Nothing else just a re-skin...

They have to update these mounts...

I was lucky enough to get the Cursebound Wolf. I don't mind the different sound although it is weird. He looks just like the death hound mount, only armored, yet sounds different.

What really bothers me the most is that he just pops into existence with no special effect. I mean, I'm still gonna use him but every time I call him forth and he just appears without any effect I do sigh a little.

Death Hound's "howl" is the most disgusting sound I've heard in ESO, so I can't use this mount

I was very glad to find out that Cursebound Wolf uses different voice - now I finally have a doberman to ride and show off his howl with pleasure

None of Cursebound mounts use unique voices, unfortunately. Durzog's howl remains the best creepy canine howl in the game so far, and I will not rest until a mount can howl like this

But still, I'm very grateful that designers didn't use Death Hound's voice for the Cursebound wolf, and I really appreciate that they didn't use ordinary animal voices for any Apex mounts this time

I will not discuss terrible lack of any special effects and summoning animations here, will only focus on their voices.

Cursebound Horse - Zombie horse voice, the best creepy horse voice so far. I never used Zombie Horse cause the rotten model is too well-done

Now there is horse which looks both scary and stylish, and uses same scary voice! If only the tail had hair on it, it looks so hilariously bad when short

Cursebound Bear - Gloomspore Bear voice. Far from perfection, but the creepiest bear voice edit we have so far, I love it

Cursebound Sabre Cat - Gloomspore Senche voice. I love the voice edit of my Gloomspore Senche, but a creepy Cursebound feline could definitely use something more unique and stronger

Cursebound Kagouti - Guar-Lizard Steed voice. Guar from Xanmeer crates is my favorite special guar cause of this hissy voice edit. So I can't complain, but I wouldn't mind having some other, strong and creepy voice for Cursebound kagouti.

Cursebound Wolf - Wolf-Lizard Steed voice. I really dislike wolf model from Xanmeer crates, but the voice edit is really nice for such theme. And it goes rather well with the look of Cursebound Wolf. Of course, new creepy voice would be nice (voice of Durzog, for example), but I'm glad to finally have ability to enjoy this wolf's voice.

I really don't like, but I think it's fair that they kept the "howl" of Death Hound unchanged and unique. This way, people who like it can keep enjoying it (never seen anyone showing off with this mount though, only people idling on it or riding by). And people who were disappointed by their Death Hounds, now have alternative. Very expensive alternative...

Maybe someday we can change voices of our mounts, please?.. For example, if somebody owns both Death Hound and Cursebound wolf, they could change voices of their wolves at will (when a Cursebound wolf can sound like Death Hound, and Death Hound can sound like Cursebound Wolf). It could be done in Collection's menu by right clicking on the mount and choosing from the list of voices available from all collected mounts of same type (wolf for wolf, sabre cat for senche, horse for Indrik, Guar for Kagouti)

It would be perfect and would make everyone happier.
