Friend log in.
Is there a way (and if not there should be) a way to turn off in chat the notification you get when your friend logs on & off? multiple friends with alts are always poping up. We have a friend list which is enough to see of your friend is logged on. just give us the option to turn that notification off & if there is one please someone tell me how to use it.

PTTE✭✭✭Have you tried looking in the chat box settings? There is a small gear icon on the top right corner of the chatbox, try looking there to see if u can turn it off1 -

✭✭NoThankYou addon was hiding these annoying messages, but this nice function stopped working since Harrowstorm update :'( No idea why, and it's still not fixed even for updated version.
I used this addon for years, and I took my clean chat for granted. Now I have to be irritated by constant "friend logged in/friend logged out". Of course, it's not fault of friends, and I imagine how annoying my own logins look when I do writs on 15 characters... It's fault of this notification sytem.
I sent feedback in-game to add option for hiding friend status messages few months ago

Unfortunately, it's system message, and you can't hide system messages in chat. I have chat box called "Empty" - I use it when I set myself to offline and want to enjoy the quests and exploration. All chat options are disabled there, and chat window itself is always minimized. But as soon as there is some friend activity, chat box comes alive

thx for the addon info. believe it or not but i have never used an addon and probably will never use one. I feel that this game is too ez for them and that they take away from the true experience of the game no matter how welcomed they are by Zos. But thats a different discussion and in this situation the convince of one would be appreciated.0
