"Yes" doesn't necessarily go hand in hand with my suggestions. And to be honest, I can't see how it would be tedious if you visited your house every 3 hours or so for a small buff, but to each their own. To me, houses right now are in a weird spot, I feel like there's not much going on there, I mean, yes, you decorate it, it looks nice and all, but for the most part you just forget about it and go on about your business. More incentives to visit would be nice, other than to RP or use a wayshrine nearby.I didn't vote b/c I really don't like the ideas given to go along with the yes option, but I wouldn't mind seeing some more small things added.
Maybe I didn't word it correctly, but I meant both.SolidusPrime wrote: »EDIT: I read too fast and misunderstood: I thought the question pertained to house usefulness overall, and not specifically reasons to visit your own house. My bad.

Stuff like this^

I like the idea of gardening, too.
Maybe a way to raise or train our own pets/mounts.
All these years this is one of the things that I always questioned. They have so much stuff for us to buy for houses, be it free or otherwise, there seems be quite a big focus on housing, and let's not forget notable houses, which look beautiful but feel barren, hollow, maybe only serving for guild hubs. Adding more functionality to the housing system after all these years would only make sense. The fact that they haven't done it yet, makes me think that it may go against their design philosophy. Sucks if true.Housing as it is feels pretty pointless. I visit my own house once every few weeks. Whenever i have ti clean out my inventory but need to return to where i was i use a freinds house and relog to port me back.
They can find a nice balance, the mistake of WoW was that you could do pretty much everything there and everyone instantly became a hermit. There's tons of potential for the houses in ESO and this would never happen if handled correctly. I honestly see no reason why they shouldn't add some kind of extra functionality with a bit of flavor depending on your playstyle to houses (see vampire). As it stands, they're 99% useless.Higher item count? Sure!
Cool new item special effects? Great!
Functionality? Ummm... I don’t want players cloistered in their homes. It was awful in WoW (garrisons), I don’t want that copied here.
