I remember when in L2 we got S-grade, then S80, then S84, then noble S84, and ppl were glad for the new content and challenge (of course there were many who was disappointed, but it was minority). but in ESO ppl take the game like it is a job and someone is taking out his mortgage house and giving shared-room instead. come on, ppl, it is a game, it is meant to waste time

How many pieces of CP140 or CP150 gear do you use on your end-game characters? That's what I thought.

Nerfs to individual sets are destructive and unwelcome but at the end of the day we'll all put away our Asylum Destros and Grundwulfs and switch to using something else (that we likely already have in our bank).

Increasing the universal gear cap would literally DUMPSTER EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF GEAR that an existing player already owns. That is in precisely NO way comparable to swapping out one set or monster hat for another.

Most veteran players have at least a handful (and often many more) of fully geared and leveled characters plus full banks and mules for stashing all of the useful-but-not-currently-needed items.

And that isn't even touching re-traiting items and the crushing cost in Transmutes that such an undertaking would require.

Increasing the gear cap is the Escape from Los Angeles scenario, of resetting the entire world back to original factory settings. If you ever wanted to deliver a knockout blow to the veteran PvE and PvP communities and drive them out of the game then that is the way to do it. Nothing says "We appreciate our players!" better than intentionally undermining everything that their characters own in the game.

And for what possible gain? You already have de facto vertical progression with the Slayer series of buffs and whatever comes after Champion Points. Though flawed, that's simply a much better way of incentivizing new content than mindlessly nuking every older set in the game.

Actually Im more looking towards a lvl of 320, and no im not thinking that a cp320 piece shoul dhave double the statsvalue of cp160 gear.

however with a ll the upgraded cp160 gear in the game, there should be a way to upgrade the current cp160 gear to 320 without having to regrind all sets etc. and no crown BS aswell

mabe a new crafting skilline, and special materials youll need to upgrade the gear, earned by doin certain dailies and farming some special nodes (no powder BS like in jewelrycrafting), or deconning dropped CP320 gear.
Kinda like anchestorssilk, but youll need a certain ammount of mats to upgrade.
A way for the PVP community to get those mats aswell, might be adding them to the IC Vendors, for AP or by letting the mats also drop from pvp dailies.

Not sure about anyone else but I dont want to regrind all my stuff.

I'd rather not have gear levels after reaching end game.

It just becomes a chore to regrind everything you already own every year then, look how annoyed we all are at the Maelstrom thing and now imagine having to do that every year.

I understand players and developers want to have progression systems in place so everyone feels a sense of progression and moving forwards, but I personally can't stand the constant gear levels thing. I also hated CP, for me I would rather just have the "chase"be the new content or sets if they make an interesting combo and cut all the gear/CP after level 50.

No. The only way they introduce higher level gear is to further weaken our chars. They've been doing that the last few patches; lowering the power of the characters so they can add more gear. This is as strong as they want us to be. It's not getting any more powerful no matter what the gear level is.

To the OP, why not 300 CP gear, 600 CP, and 810 gear as well? (J/k in case anybody takes me seriously).

Also introduce perfected sets for doing the dungeons on veteran. Who wouldn't like farming Perfected BSW inferno staff?
