I said no out of compassion for peoples with dungeon/trial/arena gear.

I wouldn't be impacted personnaly, I'd just buy everything back, since everything I wear is overland gear.

ESO thinks long term which is why they halted CP at 810 and are currently reviewing the system.
ESO doesn’t arbitrarily raise the power level nor implement systems that no one would use.
They already change things up with balances as well as the introduction of mythic items.
IMO, and I cannot endorse it enough, horizontal progression is one of the best things about the game

Will it be ok to introduce 170cp gear, that is above gear cap, leaving gear cap at 160, essentially powering up everyone willing to farm the new gear.

Edit: Also, if there are any people that voted no but also were against updating vMA staves to their new version, please explain what's the difference.

    Edit 2:

Depends how they do it. It can be either yes or no.

Obviously the bonus will be around a difference of 0.5% in stats, and most importantly, all gear will not be updated.

    Edit 3:
Vote guys vote. This poll might be what decides if we need to refarm all our gear when CP is reworked

    I can tell here more.
All veteral gear should be simply veteran without 10-160 cp "growth". I wrote it many times to support. There is no need in this anymore.

And, as it will simplify a progress of new players - thing which they like so much last years.
I've no idea why they didn't done this yet.

it's an rudimental past which steals players time to come to veteran content.

If they want everyone to work at updating gear, than they should add some system, which very slightly with special efforts upgrade obtained gear in some directions.
Not to force everyone refarm it again and again.

Or, to focus at another parts of system, like CP, or skills.

A part of me wants them to so I can delete all the hoarded sets ...

This is a continuation from my previous post, and i don't just believe that gear cap and player level should be increased just like cp itself, but also that they should start to make perfected version of existing sets.

But they need to do this correctly, that means, you can upgrade your gear level through crafting, and being able to make the non perfected gear perfected through some means it could be a token that you get from doing vet content, either pvp or pve.

But in my opinion something like this would be better coupled with a new tier of difficulty.

Most people here will probably disagree with this, but honestly, i don't care, this game is stagnant, and it's heading towards a path that is not good at all.

They should also give us a 6th bar slot.

The point is that, this game is stagnant, and they need to do something to resolve the situation, i don't believe they will, but.

Anyway, shadowlands is looking pretty cool so far, i cant bring myself to play eso for more than a few days, the problems are just too engrained, i always feel like, why should i even do this?

Uninstall for even suggesting this please majority of us have 6 years worth of gold perfectly traited useless, useful and on ice for a patch sets sitting there.

The collective groan from the senior players would be heard world wide as would the following clicks of unsubscribing.

Oh please, senior players are a huge minority anyways.

When they introduce new interesting item sets i have to go and farm/craft it, why should folks get free new stuff just because they cleared an out of date instance?
Your items didn't get nerfed, nothing changed, there is just new stuff for you to farm.

I strongly suspect these threads are always by a PvPer with 50 hours a week free to play games and they want an advantage over the vast majority of players.

Nope, this thread was created by a horizontal gear progression enthusiastic that just wanted to show that we don't want linear gear progression *** like they did with the vMA staves.

Just because they rework the CP system doesn't mean they get rid of it entirely. They could very well just change parts of it like the general damage or mitigation amplifiers. This would save them a lot of effort to rework e.g. crafting.

    Yes
    Yes.

Each new piece should be scaled for CP 300/600/810

    300 - Normal trial
    600 - Veteran
    810 - Veteran HM only
810 Perfected (Bonus Stat) - Veteran HM - Speed run No Death

This way it scales right. Stats should be WAY WAY higher then the previous. Like say you get 500 weapon dmg from CP 300 then you get like umm 1500 weapon damage from 810.

This would increase each expansion as well.

Sets would NOT be backward compatible obviously.

Weapons would scale as well. For example:
    300 - 1300 damage
    600 - 2300 dmg
    810 - 3300 dmg

Seems legit. Then once they revamp CP they can revamp the items to the new system as well.

Not with the current systems in place.

If there was less horizontal gear grind / randomness it would be fine

Most people cry because they might have to farm new gear( completely optional) but they farm it anyway with your quarterly nerfdates anyway so its kind of a stupid argument.

Nonsense. People have multiple sets in inventory to switch in as needed. We have monster gear with the traits we wanted. Many of our sets we have been using nonstop for years.

It isn't the argument you are responding to that is "stupid."
