@Tasear I didn't like it until I saw it in a storyline with a dark elf character who had a pet Nix-Hound, can't remember whether it was in this game or Skyrim, maybe Garyn Indoril? But the character told it "Good Nixie!" at one point when it did a good job. They have really cute little movements they make, like as though they have an inquisitive nature and are always looking around their environment. It is similar to both a dog and a cat, and the idea that you could have a large intelligent domestic insect as a pet appeals to me, insects are cool.

I wasn't particularly keen on getting it, since it didn't strongly appeal to me, but I try to have a variety of pets which are native to certain zones, so I can choose them on characters who are from those zones. So now my Dark Elf characters can choose between a Nix-Hound or a Vvardvark.
