Nix Hound pet

Hi and I wonder is there any way to get a Nix Hound pet at this point?

I played a lot at launch but then left for a long time, but always wanted to get one of these. I see online that they were in loot boxes for a while, so much so that people joked about it. I wish I had kept playing and hadn't missed out. Is there still any way of getting one, or is it likely that these will become available again in future?

Thanks very much.

all the crown season crates are on an rotating cycle, so sometime this year each one of the seasons will repeat at least once

I'd be perfectly happy to donate mine to you. *shudder* I wouldn't use it on a bet, on any girl.

They tend show back up each year. Just have gems saved for it. It was 16 if I recall.

P.S BTW What makes you like it?

If the drop rate is the same as when it was first released, you need only buy one crate and you'll end up with 5 of them.
    Dalek-Rok - Argonian Sorcerer || Dalek-Shād - Argonian Nightblade || Dalek-Shul - Argonian Templar || Dalek-Xal - Argonian Dragonknight || Mounts-the-Snout - Argonian Warden || Dalek-Xul - Argonian Necromancer || Two-Spires - Argonian Arcanist || Dalek-Nesh - Argonian Sorcerer || Dalek-Kör - Argonian Dragonknight
Don't incorporate bugs into your builds, and you won't have [an] issue.

I never want to see these things as pets again.

I'm not sorry that you missed out.

You should feel special and unique for being one of only 3 ESO players that didn't get 15,389,987 of them (each).
We were able to convert all 15,389,987 of them (each) into about 2 gems in total (each).

N.B. if you don't understand sarcasm, then this post is not for you.

Wait for Dwarven Crown Crates and buy it for 16 gems, or maybe it will be added in Crown Store before the next return of this crates.

Thanks everyone for the friendly generosity with the good and funny information.

@Tasear I didn't like it until I saw it in a storyline with a dark elf character who had a pet Nix-Hound, can't remember whether it was in this game or Skyrim, maybe Garyn Indoril? But the character told it "Good Nixie!" at one point when it did a good job. They have really cute little movements they make, like as though they have an inquisitive nature and are always looking around their environment. It is similar to both a dog and a cat, and the idea that you could have a large intelligent domestic insect as a pet appeals to me, insects are cool.

    Thanks for the insight. 😁

I actually really liked Nixie too. Nixie was loaned to me in Clockwork City to find something for a quest. I don't remember the specifics and have no idea if it's CC unique or happens in other zones. But yeah, I want my own Nixie too. I am a newish player and wasn't around for whatever event gave them out in droves, but might buy one if offered in the crown store for crowns, not gems. I don't buy crown crates so doubt I'll ever have more than a few crown gems on my account.

I got my nixhound, I was wishing for the original skin but in the end I prefer this Coldspring skin, it goes with my favourite dyes I've obtained so far. I think it's really cute. It makes a lot of soft clicking sounds that fade into the background and mostly I forget it's there. I'm pretty happy about it.

BTW in case anyone would like to know the style is Morag Tong, the staff is Redoran, and the dyes are Superior Blue, Atmoran Bronze, Epic Violet, and also on the weapon are Earthforge Iron Gray and Coldharbour Ash Black.

It's amusing to read this old thread, because I just bought the Nix-Hound pet the other day with crown gems from my Twitch crates. I wasn't particularly keen on getting it, since it didn't strongly appeal to me, but I try to have a variety of pets which are native to certain zones, so I can choose them on characters who are from those zones. So now my Dark Elf characters can choose between a Nix-Hound or a Vvardvark. :)

Thanks for the reply, I like to match pets with my characters too, and I also have an ash hopper for my Dunmer guy. I would probably not pass up a chance at getting a Vvardvark!

And why not - i really enjoy having it around, I like it's noises and it's animations - most of my characters prefer it.
