Was running Icereach HM and came to the realization that the netch is quite bad for this encounter as it would auto purge the flame <or so it seemed for our DPS>. Which meant they have to drop netch as the Penalty for the flame is honestly rougher than just eating the flame damage or purge during strangler Witch <which is also the hardest of the 4>.
With LoM / Icereach / some other misc encounters getting on the hype Purge Penalty train, would it be wise for devs to maybe look into making some abilities less purge unfriendly <Keep the penalty, but for skills like netch make it specifically immune>.
It feels like Purge Penalties are the next HM Defile, and would be a shame if an entire skill line gets kicked to the bucket as its a sustain ability for certain roles.

Calm down bud. There is a lot of access to purges. Though warden absolutely doesn't need the auto purge. I think most of us agree that that was a dumb idea that it can purge stuns without player input.

A fix for the auto purge would be to - Remove Minor Berserk from Bird of Prey and add in Purge on cast, that way it will cost you 3200 Magicka to use it, if you want to spam it, it will hurt your resources.
Then you will need to add in to the Betty something, maybe restore health via light and heavy for the duration.
But then you will need to rework to how Lotis Flower and it’s morphs. Which isn’t a bad thing either, considering it isn’t really useful.

No. I don't think thats a good idea at all. You don't need to do that much work just to remove the purge. Yes i absolutely believe minor berserk should be dropped from bird of prey. But only after we get compensated with an actual damage skill. Like AB4.0, swapping most of if not all of the magic damage for frost and then, changing piercing cold to increase physical damage instead of magicka damage, then lowering the total back down to 6% from 10%. Those things are all interlinked. And have very good reasons for being suggested.
With betty. All you realistically need to do is just remove the automatic purge and keep the one purge upon cast. That's fine. The skill should never recieve a cost. And should have never recieved the auto purge.
You don't need to realistically fully rework 3 skills just to remove a purge.
