mine is 147 gb now after download - wasnt it supposed to become smaller?

    89.4GB ??? But I did a full uninstall, download from Steam, reinstall, download from ZOS, reinstall.

    You want to be looking at the 'The Elder Scrolls Online' folder inside the Zenimax Online folder.

    66.7Gb PC/EU after patch, was 82.4Gb before, so a 15.7Gb saving :)

    My total file size jumped up to around 157 gigs during the download process, but is now about 35 gigs less than what it was prior to the download, as they stated it would be.

    After clean instalation with launcher also 66,7 GB (71 677 905 963) on my SSD.

    Steam includes large language files and a mac client so overall file size will be larger

    That is with PTS. 66.6 GB for the live folder.

    You can probably delete them. But, to make sure....

    Try renaming the folders, put an A or something at the beginning of the language folder name. Run the game, no issues, then delete the folders.

    Note, Steam might put them back for some reason like during an update. If they are safe to delete now, then delete them again.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    PSA for steam users

    you need to delete the two other language folder to gain +20gb of disk space !

    On steam the game download the french, english, and german version no matter which one you use, and the two other language can take up to 20 gb of disk space for nothing.
    I was kinda bummed after the big update to see that my game was even bigger than before with 90gb of disk space. Now the game size file is 67,5gb for me after the big update, which is much better.

    just go to Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online or whatever your game files are located
    Delete the two folders named "Vo_xx" and just keep the one you use, I'm french, so I removed EN and the german one.
    If you don't play on Mac, you can also delete the MAC folder.

    I tried to relaunch the game / steam multiple time and everything works and it's not downloading the whole thing again.
