Not sure if i have any good memories of Murkmire as i find the zone utterly boring and uninteresting. Adding the problems on PC EU at the end of 2018 to that (similar to the end of 2019, coinsidence?) i just don't even want to remember Murkmire at all.

If anything, i was happy when i finished Unchained achievement.

Exploring that ship, the Dominus Fatum locale, on top of the waterfall. I got some nice views from up there, and used quite a few soul gems after falling from there.

I really loved the Murkmire quest line <3 From all other main quests in the whole game, this is still my favourite. I cry a little every time I think about it :s But I completed the zone many months earlier, not during the event. I would never recommend to do any questing during events and such - it's best done when you're alone and can enjoy every moment, as if it was created only for you :) Especially the very last quest - need to be alone, or with other players who can actually roleplay that moment. Also, make sure to do as many side quests as you can, before starting the main quest.
Someday, I might repeat the story on my argonian character - and this time without chat to ruin screenshots :D

    (major spoilers)
I didn't know whom to sacrifise, it was difficult choice :'( It would be amazing if in some next DLC this story could continue, I really hope for it.
I chose Jaxsik; instead of life of yet another warrior, she could try herself in different role:

    xxeSIY9.jpg

    RLsDqkD.jpg

I like when all NPCs whom I've met are gathering during some important event :) In Murkmire, it was the cutest gathering, the most touching ceremony!

    iUysvVo.jpg

I changed my costume for this few times (searching for the most fitting), talked to every NPC who came to see the birth of the new village. Almost every dialogue was worth a screenshot, so beautiful :'(

Reaction of Dead-Water tribe to Jaxsik's choice:

    6hMulyU.jpg

And the minor character from Dark Brotherhood in Murkmire was better than almost all characters in Gold Coast, in my opinion. She seems so natural when she speaks of Sithis, and she is very serious. And I loved when she asked me if (Jaxsik's and other's) death was worth it. I honestly didn't know what to answer, the whole Murkmire story was complicated and I only did what I had to; and she concluded it perfectly:

    Some positive and cheerful attitude:

I have a lot of negative things to say about Murkmire, but since this is a positive thread I'll just mention the good things.

The first is the fact it was free, given to me as a log in reward. Was a nice thing to do. I also love the scenery and the music.

Really the one thing that stuck out, and this might sound really strange to most people. The bit I liked the most was wading through those black mud pools which slow you down to almost a crawl. I just thought that gave the area a really great swampy feel. It really made me think back to when I read the story in Skyrim called "The Argonian Account" which described a persons journey through blackmarsh and the dangers that came with it.

Here's to that! It felt more natural to creep through the swamps rather than just ride through at full speed, and I love that. Of course, I also loved Shadowfen for similar reasons: it actually feels dangerous to navigate, as a swamp should.

Murkmire isn't my favorite quest line, but it's in my top five, for sure. I'm a sucker for interesting characters and weird lore.

Everyone has their views, opinions, and likes / dislikes (in this case they are wrong, no matter thier excuse). I too enjoy Murkmire, as well Shadowfen, cause it isnt saturated and literally force feeding us so much man and mer everywhere.

Both areas have solid story telling. Giving the players a load of lore and information but still keeping everything mysterious and unknown.

My most memorable memory for Murkmire was the reinforcement of the fact that there really truly is never any give without a take. In that one storyline in there, where you.... ohh wait thats right, I havent done the story in this zone because the zone sucks and is way too annoying in almost every way - lets make a teeny tiny zone, but then ridiculously annoying to navigate so it takes 5x longer to get around than it should! Lets make several storylines that need the player to run back and forth from several locations to make it feel 3x longer than it really is! Brilliant. But as for the give and take: the long con that ZOS played on us when they gave ppl the Murkmire DLC for free as a login reward, and then this steaming pile of an RNG multiplied by RNG event. The overwhelming amount of players that play in a zone after its not new anymore and outside of an event should tell you everything you need to know about Murkmire. Looks like Northern Elsweyr is going the same way.

Personally I spent the time exploring this zone on my new toon prior to the event. I like the detail in the huts, like the ramps up into the huts you can actually see through the slats and onto the ground underneath. Amazing that time was taken to add that level of details, it's the same for the walls in some of the huts out in the swamp.

I was disappointed though, I was checking out the part near the ocean and there is a huge ship there anchored off shore with a little boat near it. I swam out to it and died, apparently it's just eye candy. Would be nice if there were LARGE SHIPS like that to explore in new zones not just large boats.

Music. Argonian bards singing their songs. WInd chimes. Sounds of the swaps. Marsh forests glowing with flowers. But the most amazing was Scuttlebloom. I approached to look, and it was hiding away! I love all the moving flora of Murkmire and lizard mounts. And Naga - they are awesome!

During the time I messed around there, I remembered that the only swamp I like is Hjaalmarch.... and since I will be playing Skyrim next week until I get the stick from friend with his install folder (HE has very fast connection with unlimited bw; I do not), I'll start a new girl and begin in Morthal.

Hard to tell. Zone is imho the most immersive, it has a unique feel to it. But I think the moment that impacted me the most is:
(Murkmire main story spoiler, if you have not completed it yet, don't read) :
When you are at the final quest, inside the The Remnant of Argon, and finally you learn the truth what it really is. And the feel of peace, serenity and sanctuary in there... nothing like I have ever seen in ESO. Immersion was through the roof...
The choice that I had to make was kinda tough, but later on, when the quest kinda implied that those characters are not really dead and will kinda "reintricate" in new bodies... (at least this is how I understood it)... It was amazing, mind blowing and heart touching at the same time...
There were many moments like this in the Murkmire main & side quests (which is why I think this is top - notch zone when it comes to story).

My friend flipped his ESO+ and got a year subscription where you get all the crowns in advance. I did it with the Colossal Aldmeri Grotto in July and he just did it with the Lake Xanmeer Lodge. Touring his rendition of his lake house was pretty cool.
