When I stack magicka looking at spell damage breaks my heart :joy:
But when I stack spell damage looking at max mag leaves me breathless :tongue:

I have tried both.
I guess both are good in their own ways.


What do you think is a good spot for spell damage? And max magicka pool?

    Stack CC options. Enemy can't kill you if they can't stand.

    Play the middle ground. You don’t have to go overboard on any one stat, each has diminishing returns. Just use the strongest of both types of sets:

    Necro + NMA + Chudan (back bar potatoes or willpower) on a wood elf, altmer or Nord.

    Max magicka
    Shield Stacking is a redundant option as you can shield stack when you're max mag stacked. Yeah your spell damage looks abysmal but 50,000 magic with some decent recovery will get you a long way in a fight. Whenever I fight MagSorcs I'm always asking "Why haven't they run out of resources yet!?".

    If I remember correctly 100 spell damage is about 1 k magicka or so. So even tho your spell damage is low, your actual damage is high

    maxmag is the only true way for a magsorc, leave the spell dmg for the magplars

    Why?

    1k mag is 100 spell dmg. So basically:

    A. High dmg low resources (spell dmg focused)
    B. High dmg lots of resources (Max magicka focused)
    Easy choice, most 1vsX potential in B too🙂

    If using pets then stacking magicka is best.

    Outside of a pet build it is really the same as any other class. Just understand that shields are still based on magicka but have a cap. So a mix of magicka and spell power is fine for most builds.

    I'm going with max magicka/regen with Alfiq and Lich but my dmg can be pretty sad and pathetic. My frags and curse hit people for like 3-4k meanwhile when i get killed by sorcs they hit consistently for 6k+ with the same skills.

    Bright Throat doesn't replace Lich. I agree that for most purposes it's a superior set. However Lich allows for some stupid, extended, bursts. Which are more useful in PvP.

    Depends what drink you run with it, and that choice gives you flex noCP, CP, group etc
