The Pure Snow Indrik is cool with my icy Breton Guardian wearing a suit having perfect color matching, along its pet counterpart. The only bug and I think it was a mistake, is that the Pure Snow Indrik mount doesn't have the correct halo around its antlers, it's yellowish (like poison or fiery), rather than a white icy halo icy like its pet counterpart (which has the correct white halo).

I agree. The indriks are cute and all, but enough already. How many years ago was Summerset? Create a new upgraedable mount for us to collect for a bit and ditch the indriks!

I hope they will move to some other mount or collectible.

The indriks are old... the devs should reduce their cost and phase out the berries and feathers, so if you want an indrik you could buy it directly with tickets.

I would like to buy a house with tickets, bit by bit, maybe a modular house. 1st buy the yard, then the main house, and other upgrades.

I mean it really doesnt make sense, you can only run one mount at a time, and we dont see indriks outside summerset and march of sacrifices at all. I mostly stopped participating in events my self because honestly, i have much cooler mounts already available.

I just would like a chance at receiving something new to rp new content with.

It's on test right now, an option to have four butts on your character so you can ride four at once. :)

On the one hand, when you consider the amount of re-colored horses, camels, bears, wolves, senches, and guars that we get with every crown crate season plus on an ad hoc basis, it would make sense that "this is the only way we get indriks." It doesn't matter how many variations of indriks that we get in this manner... even still they will never match the amount of horses, camels, bears, wolves, senches, and guars that have been released to us. ;)

Which means that for indrik fans (of which I am one) this is only fair. Plus they are usually paired with the adorable little indrik pets which I also love!

However it would be great to see a second, new mount idea released to us, corresponding to a new release. I wouldn't complain in the least and there is something about having each event have only an indrik that makes it feel more repetitive, somehow, than when we get more horses, camels, bears, wolves, senches, and guars. Maybe it is because of how many berries and tickets we need for each one.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

look, i like the Indirks, I do, but darn. on live, including the currently being worked on one, there are already 5 evolutions +1 base. at least the spectral one is noticably different. the new one in you can see the collectable screen for on PTS? basically pure snow, but a bit bluer looking. I want some more variety. at this rate we'll be getting just Indriks forever, and nobody wants that

Personally id like to see them do the rewards a bit differently. This crayola box of Indriks is unimaginative and lazy especially considering how much work a person has to go through just to obtain one. Rather than all that nonsense, i would rather see them make old crown crate stuff available.

For an entire year, the event merchant sells:

    1) Mount Crate for 60 event tickets that contains one random mount from one of the first 5 season crown crates. No duplicates so you are guaranteed something you havent got before. There are 58 mounts i counted from the first 5 seasons.

2)Pet crate for 20 event tickets that contain one random pet from one of the first 5 season crown crates. There are 48 pets roughly in the first 5 seasons.

    3) Major Cosmetic Crate for 25 event tickets that contain a skin, style, personality, transformation, or other major cosmetic change from the first 5 season crates.

    4) Style pages for brand new styles related to the current year long story ark.

Year 2 do the next 5 seasons, year 3 go back to the first 5, year 4 do seasons 6-10 again, year 5 do seasons 11-15, Year 6 do the first 5 seasons again, so on and so forth.

Even if you figure 500 tickets available a year, it would take you 7 years to collect all the mounts from the first 5 seasons. At least there would some fun to it and we would all have a chance of getting something we wanted or liked instead of Indrik Version 20931, slightly more blue with more crystallized sparkles!

Where are the Lore people in this discussion? More and more weird Indriks -- on top of Noweyr ponies and other strangeness from last year.

    TL; DR

Basically, ZoS (and Bethesda) made all future, online dev content in both TES (and Fallout) franchises canon. By establishing this radical edict, ZoS made all (lore illogical) content developed in this online ESO to become single player TES lore canon by default. And by doing this, they set the foundations to alter 24+ years of historic single player TES lore since TES 1 Arena. . So the OP's post is something of an exercise in futility. :D Because per ZoS, exotic looking Summerset Indriks are now canonical lore all over Tamriel in 2nd era. Or at least during the anarchist period of the Interregnum around 2E 583. Because they sure as hell don't exist in 4E 201 aka by 4th era in modern day TES V: Skyrim. :D

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAV1F7DAlnU

So this TES based MMO never really had a cohesive or consistent lore apart from being based on the Interregnum.
And in doing so, ZoS has setup ESO lore to be a dynamic phenomenon. Which is subjective to whatever dev/artist creative whim happens to be for the latest themed bit of regurgitated DLC content. Content which has been recycled from previous updates, and recycled/re-textured/re-purposed from previous single player TES games. "New" DLC that has become increasingly non-innovative, and lacking in any relevance to single player TES lore since ESO release to date.

Which is really depressing. Because the newer (and especially casual) fan boys to the TES franchise who've only played online/ESO, will most likely be the fan boys who wonder why Indriks are missing from Skyrim (should they ever end up playing the single player games).

The longer non TL; DR rationale
Other than the necessary use of the Interregnum epoch from TES lore to justify this TES themed PvP MMO, ESO has always been a blatant cut and paste of single player TES content for its PvE content.

Perfect examples: superficial re-meshing and re-texturing of Skyrim dragons for Elysweyr dragon content. Where in the TWENTY FOUR+ YEAR history of TES lore have DRAGONS ever been affiliated with the Khajit or Elysweyr? Answer: Nowhere. ZoS saw the still astronomical success in replay value single player Skyrim is enjoying to date. And so thought it strategically best to import one of the most defining features of said single player DLC aka Dragons. Which ironically, IS NOT the reason why Skyrim remains so popular among the single player fan base to date. The concept of open world sandbox in which the player has 100% control over their world environment and character customization -- FOR FREE -- appears to be lost on ZoS to date.

For TES single player fan base, what that means is:
    • If a player doesn't like the way their mount looks, or wants to fly unicorn themed Indriks in their game, they can change it.
    • If they don't like the way the weather works, or how the environment looks, or the very lighting itself in Skyrim, they can change it.
    • If a player wants to use adult content mods to enhance their game play in Skyrim, they can change it.
    • If a player doesn't care for the PvE or NPC PvP level of challenge in their game world, they can change it.
    • If a player wants to add new worlds with tons of quests to explore/enjoy, they can change it.
    • If a player wants to be a merchant struggling to build a trade empire in war torn Skyrim, they can download or write economy mods to change that.
    • If a player wants to be a world sophisticated collector of lore items to display in their own personal museum, they can change it.
    • If a player wants to be a humble farmer who transforms into a Daedric werewolf/vampire to terrorize the world by night, they can change it.
    • If the player wants to be a simple miner, hunter, treasurer hunter etc. who does simple fetch quests for their village or city hold NPCs on the side, they can change it
    • If the player aspires to be the most important noble/Thane/King of the realm, and/or do nothing but build and own mansions, cottages, and castles all over the game map, they can change it. And give their NPC subjects jobs with a thriving economy while they're at it.
    • If a player especially doesn't want those annoying flying Aedra lizards -- aka dragons --being irrational psychopath arsonists burning everything in their game world, they can change it.
    • too much to list here......

This is NOT the case with ESO which--by default of being an online game--ZoS retains control of all game world DLC content. Which by default of being an online game, you the player will always have severely limited ability to customize your game. And are limited to simple UI/text mods (ie LUA based scripting). And since. by default of being online, you've agreed to either grind ZoS servers or pay them millions annually to buy increasingly unoriginal and recycled content like Indrik mounts.

The only means the player has to address this inequity is to complain to ZoS like they are here in the forums. However, this won't change the fact ZoS has their very successful business model with this MMO. They've found an extremely profitable way to add new DLC content to ESO at the least cost. i.e. refurbishing and re-marketing existing single player TES game concepts from previous single player TES games as new DLC for this ESO.

Perfect example #1: the direct port, slight re-mesh, and re-texturing of Alduin and his Aedric fire breathing cousins from Skyrim

Perfectly blatant example #2: the direct port of Skyrim's Solitude landscape directly ported into ESO for the upcoming DLC. That modern day Solitude city/landscape design is starting to make me wonder the ZoS devs really believe the ESO fan base is that ignorant.......

The bottom line is the OP's post is valid in that the lore of the TES universe is being bastardized by ZoS business model in the store. Selling increasingly unoriginal, and knock off single player TES content which do not comply with established TES lore.
But this is NOT something ZoS will ever care to address in the future.
They're NOT going to do anything to jeopardize the lucrative millions they're making to date in profits. Not when they can passively reap a windfall off superficial DLC content from the more impatient, impulsive, and high disposable income ESO fan boys who keep throwing money at them in store.....
    :D

Please no more indriks. I don't care how cool future ones are. I don't want them. I'd rather spend my event tickets on the armor styles that have been made available for tickets (which I think is a much better way to spend them and appreciate having as an option). I think you might sell more event tickets for crowns, too, if you add more desirable things.

Before the Indrik invasion started and I didn't know any better, my goal was to get the green one. I also liked how the gold and white ones looked, but didn't think I'd be capable of getting them all.

I almost didn't bother with the black one, but there was nothing else that interested me and I had the tickets. So I'm now the owner of 4 evolved Indriks and one nascent one.

I'll end up getting the ghost one, because once again, nothing else enticed me. But that will probably be my last. Even though they fixed how the mount behaved, to me they still ride funny.

I'm probably in the minority when it comes to this, but I do enjoy the events and plan on doing them just for fun, not worrying about tickets anymore. Many of the events give me the incentive to do group stuff, something that on my normal play style isn't the norm. I do wish there were fewer events and more time between them, though.

That all said, I don't think the Indriks will go away. The system created to acquire them is so complex that I think it's here to stay. It isn't like they can recycle it to offer something else. At least I don't think so. The whole thing is based on the fact that the magical feathers we buy with tickets somehow come together to create an Indrik (I think it was said those were Indrik feathers?).

One thing I would like to suggest is that the berries from the old Indriks become available again, so that the people who couldn't get all the berries for the morph they wanted can complete those. Make all the berries already released be available every time the Impresario is up. I won't have anything to buy, but a lot of people will.

The Indryk model is too chunky/clunky for my taste, similar to many of the husky horse models.

For an elegant, magickal creature, they should have made them sleek and the animations more fluid (and, of course, without the strange dog bark).

I really enjoy my Ebon Indryk but agree with many of the rest that a change to a different mount type is needed.

The problem is that the global, pinnacle, umbrella reward for every event in game is a single, zone/race specific recolored mount. That's absurd. The fact that it's a mount doesn't make it any better as this is little different than ZOS deciding that the peak reward for every event is High Elf Styles 1-4.
