Death Hound Mount shouldn't be a thing

There needs to be a line. I really don't want to see someone sitting on top of a decomposing dog in the middle of town. In reality I'd want the City Guard Mages to burn it.

Personally I am very much looking forward to the Death Hound mount, being a fan of all things undead in ESO, Warhammer and other fantasy mythos'.

@OP. I feel the same way about Indrik mounts. To me they look like a bizarre, jumble of animal types. Utterly ridiculous. But I respect others people's rights of appreciation of their aesthetic.

Does anybody other than ZOS have a right to judge what "crosses a line" and what does not. What is pleasing to the eye for one may not be for another, and that's a fact that should be adhered too.

Yeah, ZOS "jumped the shark" with over-the-top mounts a long time ago. Heck, I even own a few.

Undead mounts aren't new to ESO like some others have mentioned.

Zombie Horse

Plus a growing number of ghost mounts at this point.

Personally I'm looking forward to the Death Hound mount, but I'm also a fan of the undead/spooky stuff in ESO.

Totally looking forward to prance around on zombie doge, I'm gonna love it, feed him with nothing than the best meat of my dead enemies and snuggle him to death, no wait, he is already dead, no matter.
That was one of the reasons to do collector edition prepurchase anyway.

Btw, there was a lot of mounts of that demonic undead type available in Casino Crates, so I'm not sure why you are triggered by this one.
I mean there was a Decayed Zombie Skin for characters, and the mount triggered you.

If undead dog mount shouldn't be a thing, then any undead mount shouldn't be a thing.
Then daedric mounts shouldn't be a thing.
Then daedric and undead pets shouldn't be a thing.
And don't forget about skins.
And some outfits - since when is it OK to walk around dressed like a dremora or some evil cultist?

Err - half of, umm... 3 of my characters’ skin is missing.

The now, level 18 Dunmer Sorceress alt I made 2+ years ago, to well... ACT like a Necromancer before it was a class; and my 810s Breton MagCro & Nord StamCro are also demi-decayed (and it was a big decision ‘cause I normally NEVER cross looks; themes; body markings; etc. between characters lol).

Methinks they’d all look perfect upon this mount.

(in a similar, and disturbing manner as my Dunmer Vamp looks strikingly like his Scamp pet in a Nosfetatu-meets-General Zod sort of way to avoid the “cosmetic Vamp naysayers” on purpose; riding his pasty, glowing guar mount, but I digress)

I love the look of the pet version - perfect!
Not sure about the red skin of mount version... It looks like a mix of Death Hound and Skinned Hound. I would prefer pure black/gray version

I loved the look of Skinned Hounds in Oblivion (and had a pack of them following me as battle pets), and Skeletal mounts in ESO were not close to that scary but cute look. I like to think that maybe someday we will get true Skinned Hound mount in ESO

But there is no Death Hound recolor datamined so far, so I've decided to buy Collector's edition just to have that mount. I was rather disappointed by the fact that it will use wolf movements model (I hoped for sabre cat movements)

Or maybe it will have some unique not-quite-wolf model, this would be interesting

I still hope that it will have amazing voice edit - so far we have no wolf mount with awesome edited voice. Death Hound is perfect wolf mount to have the voice

For perfect voice edit, see Flame Atronach Senche model - very strong, truly uncanny, pleasant to hear, matching the appearance

Well some dogs can get very big. I've recently a few ago or a couple weaks ago when we took our cat Fancy into the vet I saw some very huge dogs I was surprised by their size so them being a mount isn't much a problem if there can be actual dogs that can get so big. I don't know if death hounds would be more of a zombie dog or a type of specially created dog or undead dog that might be more vampiric but reacts differently with animals. It isn't the worst mount type they have added and they can be very creative or have some weird variations of mounts out there.

There is many kinds of different exotic and magical things in the World of Nirn. Plus there have been other kinds of undead mounts daedric mounts and all kinds of different concepts of mounts. So the Death Hounds are not actually the worst kind of mount they have done. Some might even think of them more like a variation of hellhound. You can even think of them as daedric dogs if you wanted too.

At this point, I could care less what pets, mounts, skins or armor people have, as long as none of it gets in my way while Tanking.

Tamriel’s reality now has ‘Death Hounds’ as a part of it. ZoS decided this a long time ago, as well, many other wondrous creatures that yet have to be seen.

Variety is a good thing for the growing player-base.

Personally I feel the Death Hounds fit the new theme. Sorry you don’t like them @ArchMikem but I am sure there are many things you do !!

In matter of fact, not that they should not be in new chapter, they are totally in line with Lore and Skyrim chapter.
