Potentate's Retreat: got some idea, need your advice

I’m a collector. I hunt pottery and oddities, plants and statues… all kinds of beautiful and interesting things. I’d like to display them in my Potentate's Retreat, but I don’t know how. The idea of the house is some kind of antiques shop hosting things stolen from all the Tamriel. Ancient cultures are the specialization of this shop. The house has 1 big round hall and 2 rooms. The 2 rooms go to Ayleid and Dwemer, here are drafts I’m happy with:

But where do I put the rest? I’d like to showcase Craglorn antiques, Nord/Atmoran, Murkmire, Redguard, Dunmer, maybe something from daedric planes. I tried to put things in corners like this:

And the result - my shop turns into a warehouse… The outdoor area with a pool is not fit for showcasing - it is a beautiful garden. Do you have any advice for me?

I think it's always going to look a bit like a warehouse when you have random, small, objects in a big space.

All you can really do is group items up into smaller room settings, within the larger space (so, place a rug, with sofas/chairs and a table on it, or whatever) and also, have some shelving and tables to display smaller objects, like ornaments, bowls, glassware etc., on.

If you place stuff on shelves, try to place like with like, on each shelf (at least, to an extent), to make it look more like a cohesive shop display, rather than a house one with lots of random finds.

You might try placing some walls to create smaller spaces or rooms. One of the museums near me uses free stranding walls to break up the various wings. Because you can walk around the walls and they do not go to the ceiling the place still feels open and airy.

For the outside I would consider a sculpture garden. With all of the figures and pedestals of various sizes I think it would look pretty good around the pool.

You can look at the sizes of your items and which styles look good near each other to figure out where to put them. I like your idea and wish I'd got the house now. I hope you have fun with it.

I waffled back and forth on this house, especially with the posts about mold, but I did get it. So far I took an hour to hang a chandelier in the central room (it looks tiny) and put some Tanzelwil stones in the dome to try to lighten it up, and a few shrines on the terrace.

I like the tree you put on the central room, perhaps some more plants to soften up all the hardscape?

Another thought though I'm not sure how the styles will mix. There are a few curved wall sections both low and high that might work with columns to give the impression of rooms without closing things off too much. Maybe a taller one coming from each wall with the low ones and columns to make an entrance in the middle.

    Guys, thank you for advices!
I decided not to hurry. Took everything away (except the tree in the middle) and tried to create some display stands:

Totem of the Sixth House will go in the middle - I hope the size of my "display" will fit:

Small items to be displayed like this Atmoran tiles:

I'll try to put a wall behind the tiles display.

Tried to use Alinor display cases, but the glass turnes blurry...

@myskyrim26 Note: totem's FX (red "summoning circle") appears only on surfaces with navmesh (aka "ground), so it won't be visible on elsweyr floors. Just dropping the info before you find out yourself after buying the totem...

If you want the glass in a display case appear clearer, put a light in it.

Nice use of the Elsweyr sarcophagi! I used some as flower planters in the Hall of the Lunar Champion.
