what's next? All XP earned should be account wide and apply to character not yet created?

Well, technically CP does exactly that...
When one of a players characters finds crafting materials, accumulates AP, Telvar, Transmute crystals undaunted keys they are account wide. So why not all Recipes that are found and learned? I don't see why allowing learned recipes to be account wide gives any player with several characters any advantage. What it does do is alleviate the need to go to one character that knows a particular recipe in order to make it so another one of the players characters who does not know the recipe can use the food or drink made. Would be nice to get an answer behind the reasoning why found and learned recipes are not account wide ZOS.

You can't read an already learned recipe, so making them account wide would lose that inspiration source. Since every character benefits from having the provisioning skill that increases the duration of food/drink, there is benefit to all being able to get that additional inspiration. Recipes also impact master writ drop rates, which are character based, not account based.
Currencies are account wide, but they are currencies. I'm not sure why you linked recipes and currencies. And telvar is not actually account wide. It would break the system since having them on your person increases the multiplier. AP is also not account-wide.

Both Telvar and AP are account wide, when you deposit money you have to click on this gold icon and change it to Telvar/AP, just so you know.

The answer is pretty simple. My pantry has ingredients my entire family can use. However, they have to learn how to cook a recipe themselves as that knowledge is not shared. So it does not make sense for their to be a correlation between materials being shared and recipes. That is the answer for OP's question.
...they are character specific -unless- they have ESO+ and a crafting bag. When one of a players characters finds crafting materials...
...they are character-specific unless you bank them to swap it around....accumulates AP, Telvar,...
Because the game -already- gives way more account wide stuff then many other games I played? So why not all Recipes that are found and learned?
Except, oh, when it comes to provisioner crafting wrts of course, which they then could do without any extra work on every character...I don't see why allowing learned recipes to be account wide gives any player with several characters any advantage.
Yeah, THAT!Dragonnord wrote: »OK, if you first return to me the thousands and thousands of recipes, a lot of expensive purple and legendary ones (and so gold) I have already read with my alts.

Then take a good, hard look at the prices those go for.TheShadowScout wrote: »Still sounds like such a good idea?
For me this is still better than the status quo.

When I get a motif it's just annoying, I have to bank it, and I have no bank space at the moment, to somehow get it onto my main, where I can actually read it.
worst bit is I switched mains so now it's not even my main that gets them all...

I think there is more of a case to be made for motifs than recipes, to be honest. I'm not particularly bothered by either, but it would be nice if motifs were account wide like some of the outfit styles seem to be.
