If somebody gifted you that amount and youre on a new toon, what would you buy in terms of character building?
Templar - looking for a new job (Blame the economy).

    Assuming you didn't already have these:
    DLC
    Any Race, Any Alliance
    Warden Upgrade

    Those are the main Crown-only items that are really worth buying. Everything else depends on what you like to do in game, cosmetics you like, or how much you feel like paying for things you can acquire in game like horse training or storage.

    Nothing. Even for 'free', those riding books/skyshards/skill lines/XP scrolls/etc, are a waste of crowns.


    I'd save it for useful stuff, like costumes. (or, with that kind of excess, I might actually buy a house or furniture for crowns)

    If it's towards character building, I would still avoid those time savers, and buy dark brotherhood for the 50% less aggro while mounted passive, Thieves Guild if I wanted some sneaky action, Summerset for Psijic skill line, Clockwork City for transmute station if I don't want to be a guildie, Orsinium for maelstrom arena and julianos crafting stations (non guildie), Murkmire for Blackrose Prison, Shadows of the Hist, Dragon Bones, Wrathstone for monster helms. That's off the top of my head.

    I would probably buy undaunted on some of the chars I use the most that aren't maxed out since I hate Pve and it would be the only way I would ever get it.
    If it were on a new account, I would buy merchant and banker first and then any race any alliance, warden class and imperial edition lastly

    The best thing I had bought from crown store is the banker. Really helps out for dps queue, cause your inventory is likely to be full when the random queue pop.

    In terms of purchases for character building I would spend the crown on the following:

    - Max out riding stats, because slow mounts suck.
    - Buy all the inventory slot upgrades
    - A banker and merchant .... these will come in really handy as you level up your character and collect sky shards.
    - Buy skyshards so you don't have to explore for them... though you lose out on a lot of XP that way.

    With whatever is left, I would buy the costume I'd want and or any dyes for that costume.
    Far too many characters to list any more.

    I'd return it and encourage them to put in a ticket to try get their money refunded.

    My personal opinion is that buying things like riding lessons, skyshards and vampire/werewolf are all a waste of money, because all of those can be gotten in the game for free with just a little effort.

    I don't think I'd buy anything, as there is nothing in the Crown Store that interests me. So, it'd probably sit on my account for an indeterminate amount of time

    I wouldn't buy anything. I'd sit on 22,000 crowns and wait for story DLC to go on 40-50% discount (which typically happens during their release anniversary). Because being rich is no excuse to throw away money. . ;)

    Anyway, if you care about your character looks, then customization packs are a good value for your money. Face paintings, body paintings, adornments, hair styles. Not only they give you access to options from the character customization, but they allow you to use them on races that don't have access to them by default. An Orc with golden tattoo? Totally.

    FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
    FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
    FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
    FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.

    Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    If it were a brand new player starting out probably:

    Banker Assistant (merchant assistant is not really needed as much)

    Any Race, Any Alliance

    Warden and Imperial upgrades

    After those the bigger cosmetic packs with the large number of hair styles and adornments.

    Fashion war is endgame of any mmo. At least in the pve side of things.
    What are Natch Potes? Can you eat those?

    Sell at least half of it for gold, since i find gold much more useful currency for character building.

    Hakkvid's High Hall furnished, plus a bunch of holiday furniture to make it fun.
    The Frost Mare mount, because it is awesome plus the Frostcaster motif.
    Enough tickets to finish getting my Indrick and to get the Nascent version so that I can stop worrying about the quests.
    I would probably save the rest for to see what the future holds.

    Depends wheter it would be actuall 22k crowns or 22k worth crown store items. In terms of crowns as new player I would turn some potion of it to gold. In terms of crown store items some practical stuff like riding lessons , merchant , banker etc.

    Are we talking about a new character or new account? New account I would get any race any alliance, dlc, and a banker. New character I would either sell or get the annoying pvp skyshards, and undaunted.
