[Bug] Why did the Dwarven Spider Mount's sound effects change?

I logged in today on my Sorc to do the event and noticed very soon that the sound it makes when it "rears up" is completely different and doesn't sound in line with its usual sounds. Now I am wondering if I am the only one experiencing this, because I didn't read anything about that in the patch notes or something.
So is this a bug? Was this intended? Anyone knows? Personally I hope it's a bug because I don't like that new sound at all. It's a downgrade.

- Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Like it or not, it's not okay to retroactively change items that aren't "clearly not working as intended" which people spent real money on without as much of a headsup or refund option.
My guess is that it's only a bug, because ZOS has been very careful with issues like these in the past.

✭✭It's the same with the Hollowjack Wolf a few months ago. It used to have a different, sinister laugh, both for male and female, when galloping away. Now, it just has a generic, detuned, fake Freddy Krueger laugh.3 -

I am not fan of both old and new versions, but in new version I really like the soft sound when the red light turns on - I didn't like the loud "bump" in old version. Also new version sounds more clean and "futuristic", in my opinion.
I also noticed change to Hollowjack mounts when these crates returned and I bought a wolf, and I personally love it
They used to have different voices for argonian, khajiit, human characters. Most of my characters are argonian and khajiit, and I really hated their versions :'( I was also not a fan of female version (and my main characters are female)... 
Now they all have same sinister voice (male human version), and I'm pleased that I can use this mount on any of my characters - and hear same cool voice:

I'm also waiting for better sound edits for many mounts, because so far voices are the weakest point of special mounts. Except for amazing Flame Atronach Senche and Horse voices, of course 2 -

Thanks for putting that video here! I don't have software to record the footage myself and didn't want to have to get it just for this. That is the exact same sound it makes on PC EU.
While I'm happy for you that you enjoy this change, I personally don't like the "clean" and "futuristic" sound at all. It's not supposed to sound like that imo. It's supposedly ancient technology after all nor is it in line with the rest of the sounds it makes - for example while galloping.
What I think we can agree on though is that it shouldn't have been changed later down the line. The original was perfectly functional and nothing indicated that it would be changed in the future, so this comes as a surprise to every person who bought it before this change.This Bosmer was tortured to death. That could actually be what's going on. The sound definitely fits the spider made of ice more in my ears, so I hope you're right and this will all be resolved soon.This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.3 -

The new sound really annoys me still even after I had time to "get used to it" which is especially bad considering it is a crown store item that's broken. I also had some people with the Frost Atronach spider mount demonstrate that their correct animation has an identical sound to the bugged Dwemer spider mount. So that's definitely the root of the problem.This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.0
