The interesting thing is after I lost all my bank stuff I received an in game mail giving me all of my Imperial stuff again. It was like my character was wiped and they were giving me the stuff for the first time..
I believe it's like an account reset.. where they take your bank upgrades back and set your gold to 0 and then resend the welcome emails. You'll also have to replay through Cold Harbor if you create a new character. It doesn't seem to affect your character bag upgrades though.
100k gold? No, most people lost what, <5k? We don't need hyper inflation just because of a very small minority of people that rushed to end game and lost a few legendary items. Items which took them 2 weeks to get, and they can get again in another 2 weeks.
The only thing I was lucky with is that I had all my gold on me and not in the bank.

@wolfguard101 My old WoW GM read about the bugs and sent me a text yesterday. "You done w/ ESO yet? I'll open a raid spot for you May 1st." Love that guy.
there are still people playing wow?

I've been hit by the bank bug, going from 100 down to 60 slots. Gotten new emails with all the imperial edition fluff. And opened two separate tickets - one in-game, and the other via the web.
Not a thing has been done yet. The patch was done yesterday. Yet, I still see 60 slots in my bank. And I don't have a single item returned yet.
My wife, who also had the imperial edition, has already cancelled her account. I am at the point where I'll be doing the same shortly.
Zenimax has completely lost all goodwill not only from the two of us, but from our friends that play as well. I've had to give my honest opinion to several friends that were considering playing the game; they won't be, after hearing about this cluster that Zenimax is creating.
My tickets, for what it's worth, are: 140413-146186 and 140413-144472
I think that one of the things that really pisses me off is the very beginning of the canned response I got after submitting the tickets: "We will assume your issue has been resolved if we do not hear from you within 168 days."
You've got to love a company that puts the responsibility of communication in a matter as serious as this on their customer.

It is people who have the imperial edition only? Is it US or EU server only? Does it kick in after a certain number of upgrades have been bought? Is it after a certain number of hours spent in game? If we could start to compile some sort of information looking for the common themes (if there are any) then we may be able to establish which people are more likely to be affected in the future.
If it is d/base corruption then it could even be something to do with the order in which accounts were set up. A problem like this cannot truly be random. Something needs to trigger it.
Can people affected remember anything significant they did in the hours before it hit? Like buying more slots or buying a horse or cooking 25 sweetrolls?
I have been lucky so far but if there is something I can do to avoid being affected (apart from not playing) then I would like to find out what that is.

I do not trust that logging in and banking any item at all will not cause it to disappear. Or that my unspent skill points will not disappear or my mount as other have claimed has happened to them.
My main character can see about 30 items in the bank, my other characters see only 1 item in the bank. How can I use my alts to bank items for me if they cannot see them?
The game is unplayable for me and my trust in the game has plummeted.
Yes i agree this is going nowhere i just bought after an year another gametimecard from wow and see how strange my toon is still there and nothing is missing, sure feels good to play and only having to worrie about chinese hackers and phisingsites so i got me an authenticator and play worriefree my priest Fransiscus on Saurfang i think i will see many of you returning lol
IT happened to me when I was logging in between alts. Everything was fine when my main did an item/material drop into the bank. Logged in my 3 alts to pull the stuff out.
When I logged in my main again to go adventuring I checked my bank to make sure I didn't forget to drop anything off and it was all gone.
I have been doing this since the beginning of the game with no problems, so I am not sure what changed last night.
My only question, is what do we do with the 3 extra (for me anyways) sets of Imperial edition mails?
wenxue2222b16_ESO wrote: »Hmm theory time - perhaps if it is happening when people are using the bank and swapping between alts somehow it doesn't have enough time to write what it needs to the d/base regarding the bank etc and thus when you log out quickly without it having fully saved the info properly it somehow resets it all to zero?
