Missing Bank Items, Bank Slots, & Skill Points

    Is there some common theme between people affected or does it just seem to be random.

    It is people who have the imperial edition only? Is it US or EU server only? Does it kick in after a certain number of upgrades have been bought? Is it after a certain number of hours spent in game? If we could start to compile some sort of information looking for the common themes (if there are any) then we may be able to establish which people are more likely to be affected in the future.

    If it is d/base corruption then it could even be something to do with the order in which accounts were set up. A problem like this cannot truly be random. Something needs to trigger it.

    Can people affected remember anything significant they did in the hours before it hit? Like buying more slots or buying a horse or cooking 25 sweetrolls?

    I have been lucky so far but if there is something I can do to avoid being affected (apart from not playing) then I would like to find out what that is.

    @Fransiscus‌ Ironically I was thinking this exact same thing yesterday. Then yesterday evening this happened to me. I lost 2 bank upgrades and a ton of items. The only thing I was lucky with is that I had all my gold on me and not in the bank.

    Then factor in that I've had to create multiple bank alts and in some cases spent gold increasing their bag limit to accommodate my storage needs.

    My ideal situation would be for;
    * Better communication from CS about what is actually happening - and to stop the contradictions we're getting from different reps on what is going to happen.

    * The bank trash bug to be fixed asap - I'm so over the alt bank shuffle every time my main character dumps stuff in the bank as we can't trust anything stored in the bank to stay there.

    * Either my bank slots/lost items that were in the bank are restored OR that I get reimbursed an amount of gold equal to what I've had to spend so far on bags/bank space to account for this + a rather large apology from CS about their handling of the whole incident.

    * Maybe a little something extra to apologise for all the angst this issue has caused - especially if it's true that this issue was in Beta and they pushed the game live knowing that people were going to get hit by it. Maybe a few extra days of game time??

    The only thing I was lucky with is that I had all my gold on me and not in the bank.

    I have kept all my money on my main after reading of the bank bug. Only my char became bugged and dies in seconds after login so I cannot transfer anything as you cannot mail to yourself in this game....sometimes there's no way to win :\

    You're joking, right? Last earnings call I think Blizz was at or just under 8 million subs. I know fans of other MMO's love to hate on WoW but from a business point of view Blizz is doing something right.

    Personally still enjoy WoW, I like all the pop culture references. As much as I have enjoyed ESO I think it is a bit like LOTRO in that it takes itself too seriously, I need more luls.

    I've been wondering this as well, otherwise I would expect it across the board. It's not an imperial edition issue or a US issue because a friend has that edition and is on the US server and has not been affected but I have.

    I was wondering if it was addons? My friend has none but I have two.

    The only other thing I could think was switching between alts too often got it confused? When I'm managing my bank inventory I will often switch between 3 alts multiple times.

    Yesterday's patch did not address this issue. Read the patch notes. Not once did they ever say they were not refunding missing gold and items. People are spreading rumors. Read the official post in the developer forum. I'm not sticking up for them, this needs addressed ASAP. It's already taking way too long but lets not spread the hate by posting inaccurate information.

    You've got to love a company that puts the responsibility of communication in a matter as serious as this on their customer.

    Thanks for sharing. I think the thing that angers me the most about this bug is that despite the combat targeting that I don't like I was really falling for this game. [insert broken heart emoticon]

    US here and Imp. Edition. I was hoping between alts to move crafting items out of my bags. It was the night of the emergency maintenance, the lag was insane and it was taking between 2 and 5 minutes to log into each toon. As I was moving from my blacksmith to my main it happened. I got hit with the starter emails and when I opened the bank to put more in it was only 60 slots.

    As you say, there is nothing in the patch notes about this bug or the missing skill points. The best we have gotten so far is that they may have another maintenance this week to address the issue. IMO this means that they don't really know what is causing the problem.

    And no it is not Solved. I had 100 Bank Slots, around 40K Gold (like 40,500 or something like that) and I didn't loose any items, all of the overflow items were placed on to my character inventory.

    Returning? I never stopped :smile: When I like a game I tend to sub whether I'm playing or not. I still jump into WoW for some PvP from time to time - depending on the call to arms. I still pay for SWTOR and haven't played that in over a year. I just like to support games that I feel deserve it. Although, now that I am saying it, I really should think about canceling SWTOR.

    IT happened to me when I was logging in between alts. Everything was fine when my main did an item/material drop into the bank. Logged in my 3 alts to pull the stuff out.
    When I logged in my main again to go adventuring I checked my bank to make sure I didn't forget to drop anything off and it was all gone.

    I have been doing this since the beginning of the game with no problems, so I am not sure what changed last night.

    Hmm theory time - perhaps if it is happening when people are using the bank and swapping between alts somehow it doesn't have enough time to write what it needs to the d/base regarding the bank etc and thus when you log out quickly without it having fully saved the info properly it somehow resets it all to zero?

    The same happened to me. As soon as I logged in with my alt to pull stuff from the bank, item and bank slots were deleted and imperial edition emails were resend.

    My only question, is what do we do with the 3 extra (for me anyways) sets of Imperial edition mails?

    Not particularly upset about it otherwise. I realize bugs happen - and sometimes they can be infernally hard to track down. I'm only down 4300 gold, so in the grand scheme of things it's no biggie. I just want my mail cleaned out - and if we're OK to use those items, I'd like to know (Heck, I'll take them in lieu of giving me my gold and/or bank upgrades back :D)

    I didn't rush to endgame I was lucky that I had couple weeks vacation to spend playing .. not that I have done as much as I wanted to due to this issue.

    I LOST 78K I had made selling gear and grafting to level 48 when this bug hit me
    with the bank slots as well it would be at least 100k just to set the bank and money out I wont go into the rare and ultra rare crafting mats that went as well.. at the moment a fix of the problem and 100k cash would keep me in game and would re subscribe knowing at least they had bothered to try to keep my custom as it is all we are getting are vague promises of future fix to problem and even more vague if not out and out contradicting messages about if they will ever replace lost items and gold.. yet alone any rough estimate of when... so I subscribe for 3 months at time hoping to get this compensation or cut and run... at the moment I have taken the latter option.

    I have loved playing this game and regret the state it has become... its worse now than on release in fact it seems worse than last beta test. 2 quests that I know of have been bugged the last 7 days one in cold harbour and one in bangkorai.. they have carried out 2 maintenance and 1 patch in that time and there still broken.

    Kewl is right the only way to make them take this issue seriously is to cancel subs even if its token gesture till end of free play time it will show them a massive chunk of their customer base is less than impressed. As stated elsewhere this issue mainly is linked to those with Imperial edition I am not sure if others with normal or collectors edition have suffered the same but really we paid more for a free mount and to be honest I have now lost enough to have bought two of the much better stats wise mounts available in game.

    Not solved. 3:32 later, you say this is solved? 40 bank slots still missing along with 40 stacks of materials therein. This nice little email I received saying the problem was resolved is insulting. Subscription cancelled. I'll consider resubscribing if the problem is fixed.

    Thats what I was thinking - and when you log out too soon an exception is raised and causes a reset. I personally always run around a little after accessing the bank. But then it could be some other dB corruption causing an account reset -or- something else entirely.

    The patch notes did not mention it I noticed this soon as they published them my issue was the email reply got to my ticket the day before the patch
    which I have cut paste below. I received nothing after this to state they had changed their minds / failed to fix the issue and until today never felt I had to watch the forum constantly for any info.

    So this lead me to believe the patch would answer it instead I now have to wait to see what if anything comes on Friday... and they have managed to fob me off for 7 days since I lost everything by this Friday and I am sure if they fail to fix it then they will cut and paste the email again next week and the next week etc etc
