I'd much rather see them just make smaller areas within zones that have stronger enemies. Completely locking off zones by level was one of the key things that made ESO feel so unlike an ES game.

I really like being able to adventure and quest where I choose and earn XP and rewards on characters of any level. The only thing I would change is that quests part of the main alliance story arcs wouldn’t be available out of order.

I was there before v12 was a thing. People remember leveled zones a bit too fondly, I think.

Mats were a real issue until they made world mats split between player level and crafting level.

World bosses were an absolute joke if underleveled (even more so before the sweeping buff they got).

Being overleveled for a zone was major poo poo. No xp or loot from mobs means they're just roadblocks for absolutely no reason. They do nothing but serve to slow down questing and block you from being able to enter doors because you got bored and ran through them.

Oh oh, remember when you could scale MoL down to 10 and farm the chapters? On second thought... bring scaling back!

Edit: Almost forgot the main reason One Tamriel brought in new players: you can play any zone with anyone, and the power difference is just gear and skill.

Absolutely not! Never want to go back to where I'm playing content that I've already outleveled. I'm a completionist, and so I was always doing green and mostly grey quests when I entered a new zone. Thus, no loot from mobs when you're over the level for a zone.

Plus, who wants to go back to those zones and have fights be completely worthless. Even when you can steamroll things, you at least still get loot that's at your level. Before, even it you hadn't completely outleveled a zone, any gear you managed to get, even quest gear, was below your level.

Players already complain about how easy overland content is - let's not make most of it completely irrelevant. Well, I guess the gold zones would be relevant, but then that's limiting players to certain areas - gold zones or DLC zones. If you want to farm, say, Seventh Legion, you have to have a toon whose gold zone is DC. I really don't want to go back to those kinds of limitations.

Not to mention only being able to farm mats in certain areas. Or the fact that you HAD to complete your faction's questline before being able to go to any of the other alliance zones - would make certain holiday events a hassle, esp. for new players.

    No. NO. NO!

First, it is a TES game. And only second, it is an MMO crap. So, available for exploration and lore study first. All MMO crap things - second. I want to go freely to any zone at any level. Remember Craglorn before changes? That was a mistake, and it was properly corrected.

No "other" option or I would have picked that.

I would like to see leveled zones come back with a base level, and once you are leveled higher than the base it would scale with your level all the way up to cp160.

For example, a level 40 zone would stay level 40 until you hit that level, then it continue to scales up with your level to a max of cp160.

I feel like ESO is missing the sense of progression that existed before One Tamriel. Being able to safely go to any zone and do any quest line on a level 3 character is not a good thing.

It is fine the way it is with more benefits for us since 1T as we can go back and do any quest we want. I cannot think of one worthy benefit of returning to the old way of zones scaled to lower levels.

The replayability of zones is much better this way. I also wouldn't mind seeing areas in zones with tougher enemies or something but between pretty and post One Tamriel for the most part I prefer post.

Yes & No. Yes if its the players first play through. No if someone has done it before. The reason why is I think going through the story and quest pre T1 I learned more about the game. Now new players are popping in, getting power leveled and aren't really prepared for harder content even tho they are higher level.

    Favorite Foods and Potions

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I love being able to go anywhere, any time. It means all my characters can level up differently instead of having to follow a set path. It also means they can break off from the base game content and do some of the additional content before level 50 without then finding that they have out-leveled the base game content they were doing before.

Questing in High Level zone and actually needing to think what abilities you use in open world was fun.
Then again, running on low level zone where everything dies to a light attack, grows only low level crafting materials and quests gives no reward or xp is just not fun and you will end up never visiting or questing in that zone.

    Very much so.

While I understand why One Tamriel was developed, it fundamentally changed the feel of telling stories within the landscape of the game. I am glad I got to experience the game as it was originally intended. While there is more freedom in where I start telling my stories these days, the feeling or progression is just gone. They could get rid of character levels and item levels entirely and loose nothing.

So that people can walk in low-level zones and complain about overland being too easy?
They already avoid actually challenging bosses in zones and complain. There will be even more whining from that lot.
And Guild Stores! -- If ZOS insists on Guild Stores as they are now, it'd be even more tedious slogging your way to one without getting eaten incidentally.

And you could have, if ZOS hadn't screwed up One Tamriel by unlinking the zone stories. It's fine to do sidequests in any order, but the alliance stories really needed to be done in a certain order, and they shouldn't have unlocked it and allowed the quest chain to be broken.
I had 100% completion in all base zones before setting foot on Stirk, and it would have been nicer if they accounted for that too, because all the NPC except the kings knew who I was. <.<

I'm pretty sure there are already more zone-to-zone progression MMOs on the market than you can shake a stick at. If I wanted that, then I'd play one of those.
