✭✭✭IMO the three tickets a day doesn't make up for the short amount of days. You can't assume everyone has a schedule such that they can religiously log in every day of the event. It drive me nuts when discussions start with that premise. The events should be calculated such that you can obtain enough tickets if you participate for about 50% of the days. Events go from fun to a chore when I feel like I have to stay up another hour when I'm tired or I won't get my berry. No, I don't HAVE to have it, but I enjoy participating in the events and I WOULD LIKE to do so.
I for one have barely been able to keep up with event tickets, and I really don't want to pay for them with crowns. I am behind two indriks, with four berries but never enough tickets to buy feathers. I caught up a little due to the current event's extension, but that wasn't initially intended by ZOS and I couldn't play every day because things got absolutely crazy at work.
Since there is a cap on the amount of event tickets one can hold, anyway, I really don't understand why the events don't stretch out longer to make so that us weekend-ers can mostly earn enough per event without having to log in on a work day. Who does it hurt?
Honestly the only thing I can guess is my theory from a previous thread that they are specifically designing the content in events to NOT be completed in one season by most folks, in order to increase the re-playability of the event for the general population without having to add a lot of content each year. Not sure if that's actually working (!) but maybe they are trying to do that.8 -

With the 12 ticket inventory maximum, getting 14 extra in the 1st event literally doesn't work. Best case, you waste 2 on witches' writs and save 12.
Also, you need to average 20 tickets per event to keep up; 10 for the berry, and 10 for the feather for the next round's indrik. Every mount costs 80 tickets, total. Even a 15-ticket event comes up short. Never mind if you want to buy the matching pet version for an extra 10 tickets, or any of the other impressario things. 80 tickets minimum, just for the mount.
That's assuming you haven't fallen behind already...everyone has a nascent indrik in their mounts window just waiting for the white berries, right? (I do, but the other 3 people in my usual dungeon group don't, for four anecdotal points.)
And, it's the holidays. People travel to see family and make plans with friends, and miss days around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. These in-game events (ALL in-game events, really, but these especially) need to produce excess tickets just to account for that. And because of the artificial inventory limit on tickets, this only works at the very end, when everything is already on the Impressario vendor. You can't save 20 tickets from Witches' Festival to make up for a couple long weekends of family time at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I know ZoS would rather use the artificial limits to make all the people with lives outside the game (or with connection issues) buy their tickets for 250 crowns on the vendor. Their linking of tickets (imaginary money) to the sweepstakes (real money) has probably given them some legal headaches; thus the extension of the witches' festival.
(Artificial limits: Are the "tickets" too heavy to carry more than 12, even though you can carry 200 mauls or breastplates? Too magical to have more than 12 in one place? If there were no cap, some people would no doubt have more than 100 accumulated by now hoping that ZOS would eventually add some other functionality for them. The cap reinforces that the only purpose for the tickets is purchasing event items currently available.signing off1 -

ZOS has said the reason for the cap is to encourage players to participate in ALL the events, @Prrasha.
No ticket cap means players could get very far ahead on their Indrik feathers and berries ... and then skip the end of quarter events because all ticket items needed were already bought prior.
So, here are the two key takeaways for you that have already been mentioned in the thread:
1. There are enough events the rest of this year for players to reasonably plan getting tickets and have time away from the game.
2. No one is required to participate in the events or accumulate tickets. It’s optional.

The below image shows the original planned event dates:
If ZOS changed the dates to fewer days they only did so to compensate for the extension of the Witches Festival. You can't say that you are 'sorry' for your abysmal server/service failures and offer a peace offering such as an extended event week in one hand and then shorten the other events with the other hand. Those actions just shows you weren't apologetic or empathetic at all. That would definitely be manipulative to make your customer base believe you comprehended their frustrations, acted accordingly, and then shortened future events to compensate for any costs this may incur for you. With the extension of the witches event, I can totally skip undaunted and still get enough tickets to finish the snow indrik, feathers for the next nacent and get the snow pet.
