They wont do dungeons or trials they cant fight anyway, so you wont be able to summon them there. They are nice complex npc maybe some can teach the game mechanics too!!! they can introduce us to lore from the game make exploration more rewarding! a lots of things! then they can be in our house/base
Just run around with your banker or merchant out. Voila, non combat human pet you can interact with
I dont mean an npc that can fight with us, but a companion with his/hers quests, history, equipment, upgrades, etc that can go to our homes and interact whit us andbetween others npc companions they can appear in chapters, dlc, or as a free dlc? then they quest/history can expand in the future etc
what do you think?
Yes!!!!!
Maybe????

In Guild Wars 1 you could use several AI characters to run the missions with. Honestly, they were crap, but it was doable that way. Might be an idea for normal dungeons.
Personally I would hate it. My last dungeon run, I was tanking and I had 2 sorc pets, a warden bear, the Maw was spawning stacked on me, Mad Tinkerer and Atro all in my face. I couldn't even see the boss. Factor that in with cosmetic pets and left out merchants/bankers. It was like being in a rave.
