This Alfiq does not move, has it's mouth gaped open....and looks pretty darn close to a real life deceased kitty. I got so sad when I found this, kitties pull at my heart strings, and this was so disturbing and sad D: If it had moved it would be okay, but as someone who has had real life kitties pass away, it's way too similar :(

Isn't that Tender Claw, the thief cat that at some point in time you have a funny conversation with after it tries to steal from you?
If you are angry about anything in this game you are only punishing yourself.

Don't worry, she'll sleep it off and be right as rain (other than suffering from a bad hangover) in a little while.

Looks like Sereyne stayed true to her word, and drank all the booze in Elsweyr after all..

Kitty has had a little too much wine methinks.

We see all sorts of dead things, sometimes from our own doings, yet worry about a little kitty! Art imitating life? Hmm ... !

I once had a kitty called 'Curry the cat'. Or was that the cooking instructions? (I jest - rather poorly and in bad taste).

The joke is from my youth some 30+ years ago! Forget where I first heard it or the comedian it came from.

Tim Curry I got straight away but I had not heard of the animated movie / manga - had to look it up.

Back on track. The pictured kitty did put me in mind of Tender Claw - as commented on by another poster.

I think that was the intent. Some subtle movement could make this clearer or an option to interact that informed you that the Alfiq was passed out or so. (Just going by OP’s post; I’ve not been to Southern Elsweyr yet as I wanted to catch up on some other quests first.)

Just a dead cat. Nothing to see here. Funny thing, that thousands of corpses here and there in the game don't cause such a reaction in OP. It's alright to tear apart a person, but a dead kitty... Oh, my, how horrible. Bah.

I hope, I'm wrong on this one, though.

That cat destroyed a years old tapestry with a bunch of other Alfiq and ran off with a piece, then died from illness, probably the Flu because he was to too stubborn to go to a doctor, if the lorebook nearby is to be believed.

    I think that is Nishzo

In the Senchal Palace (in South Elsweyr) u can get the starter quest for finding missing tapestry pieces (Pieces of History). The quest leads u to a cave where u find a dead Alfiq, Nishzo, who has notes on were to find the missing tapestry pieces.

    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Nishzo

(I just did that quest, after already finding 2 other of those tapestry pieces, and being curious what the **** i was supposed to do with them)

Imagine a world in which you must prove your compassion by being required to mention and react to all sad things in order to talk about one sad thing.

People love cats. Dead guys in dungeons are so common as to be background noise by now. That, and its easy to care for a cute animal we don't know, not as much the long-dead skeleton of some guy we don't know. Sad but true.

Sadly, no. Pay a little attention to the mission dialouge... that particular tapestry-tearing kitty has been bad, and then died. Its sad, but it happens.

It is pretty sad-looking. Just the other day was discussing with guildies how we're glad they didn't stick random dead Alfiq in post-battle scenes because it would look too pathetic. Though I think it would be kind of funny if they updated the DB line to include Alfiq targets because how many players would be just flat unable to go through with it? xD

    True enough.
On the other hand you will find an Alfiq in an bag, it was an fun dialogue.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
